What are you thankful for this chilly Thursday?
Re: Thankful Thursday
I'm thankful that my MIL loves to babysit DS and he loves being with her, so I can go out and run errands for the day once a week (about to head off now!). Really, I'm thankful for my ILs in general, because I really lucked out and they are so wonderful.
That is pretty awesome, LadyE!
I have a small one. I'm thankful that a friend asked me to sub on his volleyball team last night because I so needed to get out there and get some volleyball time. I also met some new people who asked me to sub again and may recruit me for tournament teams so I'm happy.
I'm also grateful that I have one or two cool co-workers amongst the other really annoying ones.
I'm thankful that we found an opthomologist who would see DD and we can get started with getting her vision corrected. We were really nervous it would impact development & vision down the road.
I'm also thankful that work is so understanding and lets me leave early or come in late as need be-- I am trying to not take advantage of that!
LadyE- that's awesome about your ILs! Mine are very helpful too but MIL is only allowed to sit and hold DD (she's not allowed to walk around with her) so we can't leave her with them (besides the fact they live 2hrs away). My parents keep offering to take her for a night and I need to take them up on that soon so we can get some R&R.
DS hasn't ever spent a night without at least one of us here. My parents are staying with him in a couple of weeks for a wedding and I'm really nervous.
I refuse to leave him with my ILs. They have pushed and pushed which only makes things worse.
I am thankful for quite a lot- I am thankful for my parents, despite that they don't seem thrilled we bought a house, but they are acting excited and seem eager to help us with whatever projects they can.
I'm thankful for my job, having a good job with amazing benefits. And WFH!
I'm thankful that both of my dogs are so amazing with DS. I know I took a risk taking in G and he makes me proud everyday for how great he is.
I'm thankful my cortisone shot is today and that I can hope for a near future back pain free again.
My mom is getting more excited. They want us to buy a house where THEY want to live.
ILs are not happy because they had some delusion we would be moving back up there at some point. SIL has moved across the country, BIL is probably going to marry his gf and she's from CA and I think they'll end up there in the long run.
LOL at the first bold and yay for you at the second
I am thankful my baby is sleeping right now. She has been exhausted for the past week. We have been back and forth to the pedi three times since last Thursday, and it has just been difficult week. Today was a much better day so I am hoping this continues.
I am thankful for DH who was gracious enough to make sure I got a shower tonight, and made me dinner.
I would be the same way. Our families keep asking when we are going to let someone babysit, and it gives me such anxiety. The thought of an overnight just makes me want to cry.
