What are you getting H for Valentine's Day?

I don't know what to get him. I already have his cards and lingerie, but I always like to give something tangible. What are you doing?

Re: What are you getting H for Valentine's Day?

  • I have always hated the holiday, but DH always does something for me.  Of course, last year it was getting a new dishwasher (what a romantic), but it's usual the typical things.  I usually just cook his favorite things and always either get him a card or write a letter.

  • We have a limit of $20 so I usually get him something small chocolate and some "smelly man soap" or another personal type item.

  • I am not a huge fan of the holiday so we usually just exchange cards and make something special for dinner.
  • We dont do anything. Neither one of us think it's worth it. We'll say Happy Valentines Day and have wine with supper. Which isn't unusual for a regular day. Myabe I'll put something sexy on, but we'll see. it's right around the time I normally ovulate so there will be no "sexytime" lol Poor DH. haha
  • I'm not sure yet. I need to see how much money we're going to have around that time, and that will depend on H's first check from his new 2nd job.

I'm definitely planning a special meal (something I wouldn't normally make) and some kind of pink or red dessert ;)

It will probably end up being the pants he needs for work...so romantic, I know...

  • I normally get him cologne or a game for his PS3. Nothing real creative here lol.

  • We'll make a nice dinner and probably have some wine.  I'll get him a card and maybe some of his favorite candy, but that's about it.  My guess is he'll maybe get me some flowers that aren't red roses (because I think those are so cliche).

  • This year I'm hoping to schedule the anatomy scan (and gender reveal) for Valentine's Day! I'll probably pick up some of our favorite chocolates too. I'm sure after we find out the sex we'll have to go buy a cute baby outfit too.
  • When H and I first started dating (the first 2 years) he would avoid me on Valentine's Day so anything is an improvement, hahaha. I mean like a plague. He hated the holiday with a passion.

The last few years we usually do cards, some kind of chocolate (usually I get him reese cups and he gets me the 150 calorie micro chocolate cake things from betty crocker since I am always usually watching what I eat) We go out to a fancy dinner and go home and have a nice romantic evening with some skimpy lingerie (tmi, sorry)

  • H and I decided not to give each other gifts this year, so we'll go out to a nice dinner.  If I had my way, we'd go out to this fancy steakhouse that I love, but H usually makes other plans.  When we get home, I may wear some special lingerie or something, but that's about it.

  • We don't do anything too special. H always says it's more about me than him so we do the traditional stuff.  He always gets me flowers and chocolates.  I normally get him chocolates and a special beer.  If our work schedules allow it, we will go out to dinner.

  • I will make some chocolate covered strawberries and we'll have champagne, lingerie too :) we may spend the night the weekend before or after at the hotel where we got married and get room service and spoil ourselves. No "gift" though.

  • Not sure. I might put together one of those "X# of reasons I love you" books or something like that. I guess I should start on it. Last year, we went on a little trip rock climbing & I made cheesecake filled strawberries. I don't know if he has anything planned, but I'll probably try to think of a yummy dinner we can make together.
