Any info/advice re: communication for wounded?
My BIL is a contractor (former army) in afganistan doing security for military. He was part of the car bomb this morning. We got a call that he was badly injured, but alive. That's all we know. We have not heard anything else since...
it's torture not knowing - as sadly, i'm sure you have all experienced in some way or another... I'm just wondering if there is any way to find out more that some of you have figured out? I know i'm grasping here... and likey we just have to wait.... but i figured it can't hurt.
And I want to tell you all how much love and respect I have for every one of you and your family members who serve our country. God bless you all.

Hi. I am so sorry y'all are having to deal with this. My husband was wounded a few years ago while serving in Afghanistan. It was torture waiting for news. I understand how you feel. Honestly, the best thing you can do it wait. There are a few things that can happen right now. If he was only mildly injured, they will treat him in country. They will then either send him home to recover or let him recover there. If he is in need of treatment they can't give him, they will transport him to Germany. If he has burns, they will probably send him to TX or another burn center in the States.
Honestly, we can only guess. Like I said, it's best to just wait to hear back. I'm sure he'll call as soon as he can. I know it's hard to be patient in this situation. Hang in there. I'll be keeping all of you in my prayers.
I'm sorry to hear you're going through this and hope someone can give you the answers you need.

he just texted me... he got some info- conflicting stories. but sounds not life threatening --- so that is hope... he's going to call me in a few (he's staying at his mom's house tonight so she doesn't have to be alone.... she lost one of her other sons 10yrs ago, heart attack, and her husband 2mo later, parkinsons... so she's a mess already, and this is just torture for her).

Oh, this must be hell for her. I'll be praying for her. I'm glad y'all are getting some info, even if it is conflicting. Please keep us updated, if you don't mind.
