DH didn't get it but I'm sure you guys will!

So, I was flipping through a magazine last night and came across something called....

wait for it...

"Trollbeads".

Yes, Trollbeads.

(They seem to be like the Pandora bracelets, but the name, especially with the nimrod trolling Interro seemed appropriate.)

  • From their site: "Welcome to a magical universe filled with Troll Friends from around the world, fun events, the latest Trollbeads news, and your nearest Trollbeads retailers."

Too funny!  (Or maybe I'm just sleep deprived.)

  • There is a big billboard on my drive home for these things. I don't understand why they call them that. Hey, look! Our beads are so hideous, we call them Troll Beads.
  • Haha, marketing fail. I'm picturing a Pandora bracelet covered in little troll heads, complete with the neon-colored hair sticking straight up.

I think I'll give one to my troll!

    Close enough...

  • Haha that's hilarious.

They look like something that could be made from craft store supplies.  Or am I missing the specialness of the trolls?

  • I think the specialness of the trolls is that these are magical beads, created under bridges in a land far far away.  I think they're sold next to sparkly unicorn poop:

I'm sure they are all individually handmade, which makes for a little specialness. I think they just choose to make them ugly.

  • That is so funny that you mention this.  I was wearing my Pandora-like necklace yesterday and my son asked me if they were Trollbeads.  I told him he was nuts and that he must have the name of the beads wrong because I had never heard of them.  I guess he was right...which makes me wonder why he apparently knows more than me about women's necklaces.

BTW...my beads are much prettier than the ones you posted.  I also only wear one to three beads at a time on my necklace.
