It's finally Friday!!

This week has been so long. Ugh! What are your weekend plans?? Did you have a good week?

Re: It's finally Friday!!

  • I have a really busy weekend planned.  I'm moving tomorrow and I feel so unprepared.  I still have so much packing to do tonight.  The movers are showing up at 8 am, ugh.  After everything is moved, I'm going to make BF's birthday dinner.  Sunday is his birthday, but I'm going to be tied up in a training class all day, so he gets his special meal a day early.  He's requested sausage mac & cheese and Boston cream pie.  Random.

    This is my siggy.
  • It has been a long week and it was a four day week for me!

My mom and I have appointments for me to try on wedding dresses both tomorrow and Sunday.  My mom is also going to try on mother of the bride dresses, so it will be a fun weekend!

    That's all I have planned!

Fun! I kind of miss wedding dress shopping. I want to go!

  • Oh Mort that sounds like fun! Good luck Bowies on getting everything done this weekend!
  • Bowies! I didn't realize the big move was this weekend, congrats and GL!! :)

I'm so glad it's Friday. The next 8 hours will be obnoxious but after that we have a fun weekend planned.

Tomorrow - hot yoga at 8, birthday lunch for Mr. Bang's mom at 12:30, then headed up to our friends' house for a little "winter is blah so let's hang out" party. It will be a few girls from work with their spouses and kids, all of which are around the same age (3). The friends hosting have puppies so that will be fun for the kids I'm sure ... under close supervision.

Sunday I'm not sure. Probably some laundry, house cleaning, and grocery shopping.

  • It has felt like a *really* long week for me.

On Tuesday I rented "The Ides of March" to watch with my H.  I hate watching movies and he loves it.  I usually dlck around on the internet on my laptop while he watches, and I usually get the plot on Wikipedia because I hate surprises.  That is, if I don't fall asleep.  So I made dinner, cleaned the house, and took care of the dogs (they need a lot of exercise) and then we watched the movie, and I didn't do any of my usual movie things.  He called it a great date.

So he's repaying it with a "date."  He's going to yoga with me on Saturday morning, which I've been asking him to do for a while.  He's ridiculously good at it, and I know he likes it.  Then he's taking me to my favorite breakfast place, and something else that is still a surprise.  I'm excited to find out what it is!

  • I'm leaving work at 3 today, and then we have a date at the Cheesecake Factory tonight. We've never been but one of my bosses gave me a gc for Christmas. I can't wait to stuff my face.

We've gotta find a project to do now that I don't have to drive 4 hours to pick up a new foster. I should probably start by finally putting away all the xmas crap and doing dishes. But painting is so much more fun.

I'm jealous!  I've only eaten there a few times, but everything I've had has been really, really good!  Enjoy.

  • BOWIES! Good luck, and congrats!

ETA: Forgot to add my plans... going shopping at Target and eating at a really good BBQ place, then going to see Tinker, Tailor, Solider, Spy.  Really excited about that movie!

Sunday I'm watching football and the guy I'm seeing a lot of is making us homemade authentic red sauce and meatballs (he's full-on Italian). Mmmm.

  • Thanks everyone.  Moving my crap is just a formality at this point - I've been freeloading, errrr, I mean, cohabitating, for a couple of months already.  It'll be nice to have a king-size bed again.  It's supposed to rain all day tomorrow, so send good vibes that it holds off for at least a couple of hours.

  • It's going to be a semi-quiet weekend.

Today: after we pick DD up from school we need to hit the bank and then radio shack to get a hands free thing for DH's work phone (the state he works in outlawed talking on a cell while driving but apparently hands free devices are okay? I don't get it, seems like it would still be a distraction *shrug*).

Tomorrow: Having coffee with MIL & SFIL after their home inspection (they bought a house about 20 minutes from us and will be moved in March 1st!). Then the kids and I will relax and watch movies until DH gets home.

Sunday: Go grocery shopping and try to pull DH away from season 2 of the sopranos. Then DH & I have to decide if we're both going to DS 2.0's doctor appointment on Monday morning, it's a biggie and I think DH needs to be there to meet the doctor. Then we plan for this next round of treatments for him :-/

  • It has been a long week. After we "closed out" 2011 at our company last week, the work has completely died off and it's a struggle to look busy for 8 hours a day.

Tomorrow we're celebrating my younger brother's 29th birthday. I have him permanently at about 18 in my head, so realizing the kid's almost 30 makes me feel old. Looking forward to a Don Pablo's dinner.

Sunday I'm guessing laundry and picking up my sty of a house.

Good luck on the move, Bowies! Hope the rain holds off!

    Oh, FFS.
  • We were supposed to have friends in town this weekend, but their flight got cancelled due to bad weather. :(
I agree with everything that muddled said. You should listen to her. -ESDReturns
