Reconnection with old friend!
I haven't posted anything in awhile but I am still having fun in Australia! Have been doing lots of travel and made fun new friends... my brothers came for Christmas and New Years and we had a great time.
Earlier this year one of my old friends from my childhood also moved to Australia but is living in Sydney and I am in Melbourne (about 1 hour flight apart). Our parents are best friends so we spent a lot of time together when we were growing up... he is from a family of 4 boys and my family has 5 kids (3 boys, 2 girls) and we are all around the same ages. We used to go swimming and play in their backyard for hours and I have lots of good memories. He is 27, lives in NYC and is an attorney for a big wall street firm doing an 18 month assignment in their Sydney office.
We met for dinner and drinks on Wed night because I was in town for a meeting the next day and we totally hit it off! He was cute and funny and smart and we got along really well. He kissed me at the end of the night and texted me to say he had an amazing time and was happy to see me! He is planning to come down to Melbourne for a weekend while I am still here (planning to return to the US in about a month). However I might get my assignment extended and need to stay another few months.. but it would be in Sydney. I know there isn't much chance of anything really happening but it was a really fun night!
