Is anyone familiar with borrowing Kindle books' from the MD's Digital eLibrary Consortium? I "borrowed" two books on my Kindle that I have finished reading that aren't due until next week. I know the lending period will automatically end on your Kindle, but is there a way to return them early so that people on a waiting list might have earlier access to them? The books are still on My Bookshelf, and I also want them "turned in" so I can check out some other holds.

I think the Maryland Consortium needs help with their webpage. I found it almost impossible to figure out how to start using it. And, frankly, it isn't really all that hard!

I've used it many times for my Nook. I LOVE being able to borrow instead of buy books, but unfortunately, you can only take out 4 at a time, there are often long waiting lists for the popular books, and you can't return them early. If you do the 2-week option (you could do the 1-week, if you want), you have to wait until the end of that period to get more. Also, you can't renew like you can with the regular books. Take advantage of the "hold" feature, and they'll email you when your book is available. You'll have 3 days to download it.
