I was wondering if you had definitely decided not to go with attendants in your wedding. If so, I'm curious as to the reason you are giving people who are nosey enough to ask. We are probably not going to have any and people look at us like we have 2 heads when we tell them. My mom commented that we HAVE to have them because otherwise who will be the witnesses to sign the marriage certificate. Um, there will be about 75 people there, so we will have plenty of people as witnesses!
Also, have you gotten a dress yet? Sorry if I missed it if you posted it. I remember there was one that you posted that I know you really liked, but I can't remember if you actually bought it.

Yes - we are still not having any attendants. We figured we could use our parents as the witnesses. I've basically told people (who ask) that we decided not to have them to make it more simple and less stressful for us and them. We have a good "out" that people understand because most of our family and close friends do not live close. I think it'd be a pain for people to be in the wedding who don't live here. People haven't been giving us a hard time about this at all, I was actually surprised and thought people would be upset. I think without the added cost/pressure to anyone else though, they are probably relieved as well that they can just travel here and enjoy our wedding. That's really what we wanted anyways.
And yes, I have bought a dress. I was having such trouble finding one that I liked so I ended up going to a tailor and having one made for me. I brought some pictures of the dresses I tried on and the elements I liked most and pictures I had seen and really like and they created it from there. And no - it's not pink!
Awesome that you are going to get exactly the dress that you want! Can't wait to see pictures of it when it's done!

Morty- When I revealed to my BFF that we had gone to the JOP to get married, her first reaction was, "Good. That means I don't have to buy a dress." That was before a congrats or anything else. Your friends will be fine with it. Your mom just has a specific picture in her head that she is having a hard time deviating from.
