I don't watch Grey's and I have no opinion on Katherine Heigl, but based on a post I saw the other day - the cynical take on this will be that her "movie career" has been a huge flop and she wants to go back to a steady paycheck...

That was my first thought when I saw this post. Maybe I'm remember wrong, but I didn't think she always had the greatest things to say about Grey's. Like she had wanted out of her contract for a while before she actually left.

This... and I didn't like her attitude when she was trying to get out of her contract. Izzie was boring me anyway. Isaiah Washington coming back would be a great addition, especially now with Christina/Owen drama.
What ever happened to T.R. Knight(George)? I mean in real life, I know he died on he show.
This. As a fan of the show I really hope they don't have her come back. I thought it was really crappy that she pulled herself from the Emmy nomination. I mean what a slap in the face to the writers.
I totally agree. I hope they don't let her come back. She wanted to leave and be a big movie star and that didn't work out. You don't bite the hand that feeds you.
My exact thoughts. I really liked Katherine Heigl in the early Grey's years but I don't feel the same way now. I think she became too full of herself.
He's done some guest appearances on other shows (house?) and I want to say he's done some stage acting. But there really hasn't been much written about him lately.
and she does it constantly!! she bad mouthed knocked up, saying she was tired of stereotypical roles where the women are uptight. Yet every movie she makes is the exact same female role. she bugs the crud out of me, I so hope they don't bring her back.
I had these exact same thoughts. Definitely weird.
I read somewhere that they figured the reason for her intrest in going back is to try and get some publicity for the new movie. She may have no intrest in going back and knows they wont want her anyway so if she says she wants to then maybe she can get some goodwill among old fans who will then in turn want to go watch her in a movie. I am not sure if thats the case or not but its definately possible.
I was thinking this would be a one and done type of thing. The Stephanie Plum series is just not good enough to support 18 movies.
T.R. Knight had a guest role on SVU this year and was amazing.
I don't like Katherine Heigl, and I think Grey's is better off without her. I love the Stephanie Plum books and am afraid that she is going to ruin the movies. And there are like 24 books so far, with no end in sight, so she could really ruin the worth of that series as an ongoing movie series.
I'm really hoping this is bull. The more I think about it, having Izzy come back might really spice up the show, but I would prefer to see Washington come back. I think it would be great to see what would happen to Cristina and Owen.

I thought Katherine Heigl and T.R. Knight wanted to leave the show around the same time. Is that right? Also she seemed to put the show and/or the writers down. IDK if she intended to or not, but she bad mouth the show and put her foot in her mouth a lot.
I agree with other PPs about Washington coming back. I missed his character when he left.
I saw him on Criminal Minds. He portrayed a set of twins and one of them was the killer. Or maybe it was SVU...
I was thinking that as well, since I haven't seen her in any movies in quite some time.
I would love this so much. I really liked Dr. Burke...He was a pro, kind of adick, but then again, he was kind of awesome when you saw him with Christina in their personal life. I thought his character was really awesome.
Plus, with all this Teddy bullshiit going on, I'd love for the board to pull in Burke, world class heart surgeon, so Teddy can't keep acting like a spoiled kid and get put in her place...plus Christina can be treated right...finally.
I am way to invested in the going ons of a fictional hospital, lol.
