What is everyone doing this weekend?!!
Re: TGIF!!!
I am AWing a bit today, hope you don't mind!!
Today is my B-day! But I am more excited that S is 11 months! I cannot believe in 1 month I will have a 1 year old....seriously where did the time go?!
Tomorrow - For only the 2nd time in 11 months my H and I will be going out (without the baby) with friends to celebrate my bday! I will be enjoying some beers and time away from the babe!
Sunday - I am rooting for the Pats, H is a NY Giants fan. We are hoping for a Giants - Pats Superbowl.....So football day Sunday!
Have a great weekend everyone......GO Patriots!!!!
Happy birthday Saullen!
We are heading to Maine tonight to spend with weekend with the ILs... and then heading home and watching the Pats game.
happy birthday! enjoy your night out
I'm headed back to work this weekend, as usual...though it is DH's birthday Sunday, so I think we'll be going somewhere fun for dinner tomorrow night - he chose a place, originally, that is closed for the season, so it's back to the drawing board.
Happy Birthday! Sounds like you have a fun weekend planned!
No big plans for us. I am dealing with a cold so I'll lay low for the most part. DH is taking Eli to his toddler yoga class tomorrow, we have some errands to run at some point and otherwise just finding some fun at home or out and about.
[grumble, grumble]
I'm supposed to be knee deep in data analysis for an overdue project that I'm staying home to work on today, but instead I'm JUST logging on due to the discovery of a GIANT crack in my windshield that I swear just showed up overnight. It's really chapping my ass and ruined what started off as a nice morning with a good night's sleep, a love note from DH, and good snuggles from the boy.
SO... today will be spent at home trying to recover and be productive, followed by a mellow night.
Tomorrow we were going to lay on some more mattresses and I'd probably go grocery shopping, and now we have a 2 hr. windshield replacement appointment to add to the mix.
I have no idea what's up on Sunday. The Pats, I think roasting a turkey, maybe playing in the snow.
Hope your bday is great, Saullen!
Happy birthday saullen!
As with the past two weekends, the kitchen reno comes before everything else. But, we get to order the countertops and the new stove and fridge arrive on Monday. :-) We're hoping to have a date night or get together with friends to get away from the mess that is our home.
I also have a book I need to read. My sister and her husband have faced some really rough challenges over the last several months. One of the books my sister read to help manage all that's going on resonated with her so much that she recommended the rest of the family read it.
@saullen - Happy birthday to you and happy 11 months to the babe!!
I'm so so SO glad it's Friday!! Work has been a disaster all week. I turned to online shopping to de-stress (which isn't good because then I get stressed about money. Fail.).
We are going to the Frontier tonight for a drink (scene of our first date, woo hoo!).
Tomorrow: 8am hot yoga, 12:30 birthday lunch for FMIL, later-ish an open house party at a friend's house with some work friends and their kids.
Sunday: cleaning, grocery shopping, laundry, all the fun stuff.
There is a Patriots game this weekend right? An important one? I guess probably watching some of that, lol.
If you feel comfortable, can you message me the name of that book.
Absolutely! I'll send you a FB message later today with the name and author.
Tonight I'm headed up to Bangor for dinner with some work peeps. Should be fun. I'm looking forward to a margarita!! mmmm Staying the night at my mom's house while DH stays with some friends.
Saturday DH is going to be ice fishing (read: drinking all day) and I'm going to go do some shopping for our warm weather trip. Then my mom and I are taking T and my neice to lunch and The Maine Jump (mostly so I can scope it out! lol)
Sunday will be groceries and hanging out.
Right now: I'm heading to the middle of nowhere to do a home visit, and possibly finishing work early... then racing home to pick Chase up from daycare. No plans for tonight
Saturday: DH coaches little kids basketball so we'll all go to his game in the morning, then probably just hang around the house.
Sunday: Football. I go to zumba for an hour at night, but other than that just hanging out at home.
I feel like we have nothing planned and I could not be happier. Yay for the weekend!
Tonight: out for coffee with a friend until we get kicked out of Starbucks so they can close, then heading to Westbrook for the weekend with my family.
I'm excited to get away with the little man. It's nice to have a break from the "reality" of grown-up life I have here at home. There are no bills to pay at mom's house, although I do need to bring my bills with me to pay while someone can watch the kiddo for me (since that doesn't happen at home.) [there's my grumble]
My Wedding Bio! Not updated in a LONG time!
Happy birthday!!
Tonight: DH and I are going to dinner with friends. Then coming back here so they can check out our completed kitchen!
Tomorrow: Grocery shopping, house stuff, errands, baking.
Sunday: I need to make some progress on some art projects I have started for the nursery.
AMEN!
We are laying low all weekend.
Tomorrow - possibly children's museum in the morning and crafty stuff in the afternoon.
Sunday - church.
I love weekends with not a lot of plans!
Happy Birthday!
So pumped for this weekend- it's been a long week of single parent-dom!
Tonight: Ky is out jogging with the babe, and I just mixed my first dirty martini in over a year. Blissful. Ky is making me one of his awesome homemade pizzas, and then I think we're just going to kick back on the couch with the babe and watch some flicks.
Tomorrow: The NWS (National Weather Service) is having their annual open house and reception, so we'll be heading over there around noon to do a meet and greet with some of Kyle's co-workers from the Coast Guard. Probably a pretty quiet rest of the day- maybe grill out in the back yard, and staining the toy box Ky built for Will last weekend.
Sunday: We're checking out the UU church a couple of towns over and then it's FOOTBALL TIME. I've already informed DH that I will be unable of maintaining normal human interaction until at least 9pm. Can't freaking wait for both games, but especially the Pats game!!!

Tonight - detox from sick chld stress. I could handle the cuddly needy baby all week. But the half sick yet really want to play I'm going to scream and cry and get frustrated kid that invaded my child drove me about bunkers tonight. Good news is she was good for daddy and seemed calm enough to get some sleep. Praying for a decent nights sleep tonight
Tomorrow - get some stuff done and then DH drives down to Logan to pick up IL's. yay.....
Sunday - errands and football and then DH leaves me for a week. Booo praying DD is better by then.
Both boys have croup... so our plans have definitely changed... we were going to head to the children's museum in the morning, nap at my parents house then get the boys (all 3) haircuts and head home for MILs birthday dinner... but now we will probably head home... they have been pretty miserable all day (I have been home with them since 11... no nap, not even a car one!) and I don't know what they will be like tomorrow so I am not planning much...
Sunday we will play by ear... maybe if they are feeling better we will head up for their haircuts, or maybe we will head to Manchester to visit with DH's best friend/boys godfather... we shall see.
I remember this with Ellie! Like can't-move-can't-get-off-the-sofa-can't-even-lift-my-arms tired. I feel for you!
Happy birthday saullen! I'm with you, I can't believe these girls are turning one next month! Time to update my siggy I guess...
