What's everyone up to this weekend? Looks like we might actually start getting some winter weather around here!
Tonight we'll hit the gym then probably just hang out at home, maybe watch a movie or the dvr.
Tomorrow we're supposed to head to Baltimore for the day to finally have Christmas with my sister and her boyfriend. I'm not looking forward to dealing with the weather, but I am looking forward to the company. We're going to visit a few bars that DH loves because of their craft beer lists and got a hotel room so we don't have to worry about driving home after said bars. Should be a nice day, except for the rain and such.
Sunday we head back home, but then back out to Crystal City. I won tickets to a beer walk:
http://www.washingtonwineacademy.org/1Kwinebeerwalk.html
so we will go to that. Free beer = awesome. Then we will hang around down there for dinner somewhere. Not sure where yet. Any recommendations are welcome!
Re: weekend plans?
Tonight we're just going to hang out at home and celebrate my birthday together.
Tomorrow and Sunday we'll be at my grandma's in Charles City County for my birthday. We'll see some other family down there too. We'll come back Sunday night.
Tonight we are hanging at home since it is supposed to be cold and rain/sleet.
Saturday we have no plans yet.
Sunday I will be up at U of Maryland all day helping out with my sorority chapter.
Tonight - cleaning, making dinner, relaxing
Tomorrow - bringing DH to the airport at the asscrack of dawn, errands and date night with KtotheJ and Medium Rare!
Sunday - mostly nothing, maybe hiking with the dogs...
We make the rockin' world go 'round.
where do you go hiking with your dogs?
I would love to take my dog hiking somewhere where he can be off-leash.. but i know thats hard to find.
tonight.. i am enjoying restaurant week in baltimore at sotto sopra with some friends, but no plans for the rest of the weekend, except getting some good workouts in.
I'm leaving for California today! Going out to see my BFF in Napa, and one of our good friends is out there for a couple of days too.
Tonight: Flight to SFO (on Virgin America, I've never flown them before and I'm excited)
Tomorrow: probably some wine tasting, heading to Anderson Valley to stay in this little cottage at one of the wineries
Sunday: tour Mendocino, early dinner at Auberge Du Soleil
Monday: more wine tasting
I head back Tuesday morning.

baby blog/cooking blog

oooh stargirl that beer thing sounds awesome!
tomandcourt, i'm totally jealous - i'd loooooove to go to Napa. have a great time!!
today/tonight - i'm prepping and painting my basement/office so that when DH is off next week we can attempt DIY board and batten - which promises to be a total nightmare. (we are not meant to do projects together. we'll have to have the therapist on standby for a conf call if necessary.) i'm hoping that i can get the entire thing done by tonight, but it's going to be a huge job - the room is 28x17 and one entire side is currently stripes so there is going to be a lot of priming going on.
tomorrow - cleaning in the morning and hopefully squeezing in a relaxing mani/pedi before meeting SSW for our hot date over steak & french fries.
sunday - dh is coming home at some point from his work trip and we'll hunker down somewhere for the ravens/patriots game... or he will, and perhaps i'll take kj on a nice hike while i'm waiting for it to be over!
have a great weekend!!
That's awesome, t&c! Enjoy yourself.
Tonight: Pizza night at home. Wine and a movie with DH.
Saturday: Family party. Should be fun. I'm hoping there is an after party or bar crawl afterwards. I've already prepared DH that he might have to take C home and pick me up somewhere else the next day. I have that kind of family.
Sunday: Open House for a house in Second Favorite Neighborhood (not to be confused with Perfect House in Perfect Neighborhood). DH has a friend coming over to watch football.
ooh t&c, jealous! have fun!
happy weekend!
hiking is sort of a general term - we get the dogs psyched up by telling them we're going hiking, which is basically just a big walk somewhere other than our neighborhood. Sometimes we'll walk the trails in Wheaton, sometimes we'll go to Rock Creek Park, sometimes we'll go to Teddy Roosevelt Island, etc.
We make the rockin' world go 'round.
Sarah- Happy Birthday!
T&C- Have fun, and safe travels!
Tonight- DH is cooking(!) only because we want to eat like 20 minutes after I get home... He's making stuffed shells and we're having our friend and her friend/BF (unclear at the moment) over. After dinner we're playing our favorite game, Killer Bunnies.
Tomorrow- DH is playing cards all day, so I have a day to myself. I'll be staying in since it looks to be a nasty, rainy day. Will probably exercise, paint my nails, call some friends to catch up, maybe scrapbook, explore ancestry.com (I really want to start researching, but not sure of where to start...)
Sunday- Church, grocery shopping, cheering on the Patriots (it sort of kills me to, but no way this Steelers fan can cheer for the Ravens!)

Happy birthday, Sarah!

This weekend is like "going home (to Beltsville) for Christmas" with Otto's family, finally. We wait until his brother from Vegas can be with us.
Friday: Meet up at SIL's house, go out to watch BIL's band play in Laurel with most of the family, sleep over other SIL's
Saturday: Big gift-opening, hang time, then Ledo's and stupid movie night with the family. Stay over SIL's again.
Sunday: Come back home. Will probably veg out rest of the day.
Happy birthday, Sarah! And T&C, I'm soooo jealous. Have a wonderful time!
For us:
Friday: Meeting friends to go to dinner at a thai restaurant in Wheaton that was on the Washingtonian 100 best list this year - Nava Thai. Anyone been?
Saturday: Not sure - I think grilling and chilling. (hehehe)
Sunday: I have to head to Miami for work. So, flying there and then finding a Ravens-friendly bar to watch football. Go Ravens!!!!!
Tonight - Have to work late but DH is picking up Italian Store for dinner and then we are joining a friend at a bar to celebrate her birthday
Tomorrow - Getting up early for my first recruiting event for the Virginia Wine Country 1/2 Marathon (http://www.ccteamchallenge.org/Teams/Greater_Washington_DC_Chapter.htm) if you want to know more, then taking dog to vet and meeting a friend for coffee and then trying to figure out my life, lol! Tall order for a Saturday
Sunday - Church and then DH and I are suppose to be going to a friend's house to watch football and relax.
