DAMN YOU GRAVITY!!

I was coming down the stairs from the second floor yesterday. I had several rolls of toilet paper in my arms blocking my view. I hit the edge of the step with the arch of my foot (hardwood step, wearing stocks) and down I went, hitting my butt on the step below and landing (irony!!) on the landing.

I have a big blue bruise the size of a dollar bill on my left butt cheek and it hurts soooo bad. Every time I rolled over during the night it woke me up. Running tomorrow is gonna be loads of fun :-(

  • OUCH!!! I too know all too well the annoying pain of the stair falls...such as the 'Great Turkey Fall of 2010' - long story, but ultimately it involves me falling down the stairs with a raw turkey - getting ready to be prepared for cooking for Easter 2010...good times. I think I actually got a concussion on that one!

Hope you are feeling better sooner than later!!!

Woah! At least I was only carrying toilet paper. I ran today, it really hurt and now I have all sorts of fancy colors across my rear, but I'll live.

  • Ouch!  Hopefully it stops hurting (and turns a normal color) soon!

  • Oh that sucks! It's good that you did not break anything. Last year, my friend was walking down her steps with crutches after her right knee surgery, her leg mostly in a cast. Her crutches slipped in between the pieces of the railing and she went tumbling down to the landing, breaking her right hand on the way down. She spent 6 weeks on a wheelchair after that.
