Argh. I'm supposed to be leaving on my fun, kid-free, getting-over-m/c, girls weekend in Napa. I left work at 1:30 to get to Dulles by 3:30 for a 5:00 flight. When I got to the gate I saw it was delayed to 6:30. Annoying, but not terrible.
But then when I talked to the gate attendant he told me that our current, actual wheels-up time is 10:00. P.M. Which means I might be sitting in this g-d airport for another 6 hours, before getting on a 6-hour flight.
At least there's wi-fi (and a wine bar) but STILL. This is not a good start to my weekend!

As someone who has spent 8+ hours at Dulles, it is sucky, but hopefully the Chipotle, wine bar, and wifi can get you through!
If this is a plane specific or airline specific problem, I'd try to sweet talk the gate agent into seeing if you can get on an earlier flight.
Stand up for something you believe in.
It's weather-related, so all the flights into SF are delayed (all airlines). It blows.
DH just called to say that the ILs (who are here helping out with DS while I'm gone) just broke off the key to the front door to our building. I have mine, so . . . should make for an interesting weekend. Good lord.
As soon as I get some Skype time with my boy I am heading straight for the wine bar.

My SIL-to-be got stuck in San Jose last night and would have been delayed by a day (ugh), so she cancelled this weekend and couldn't make it to DC for O's family Christmas. We're so bummed. I'm so glad that didn't happen to you! Have fun and enjoy that wine!
