Update re: my BIL - and thank you!

He has many broken ribs... possibly some issues with his lungs. He will be at the hospital in Afganistan for at least 3 days and then possibly moved to Germany.

some issues on his scalp, etc... but he has all his limbs and it is not life threatening - that is what matters most.

We have seen a picture of the vehicle he was in and it's pretty terrible... so he was VERY lucky.

I appreciate all your help and prayers --- and again, your and your husband/family's service to our country! God bless!!!

I used to be Goldie_locks_5 but the new nest is so screwed up that I was forced to start over.

  • I'm glad he is alive and it sounds like he'll be okay.  I know this is a scary time.  Hang in there.  My husband was injured during a training exercise. It was completely horrible even though he was in the US!!!  He was 1000 miles away and there was nothing I could do except wait.

  • I'm so glad to hear that he's okay.  After your post I've been thinking about that a lot.

Is he at Bagram?   I've been deployed there a lot.  There's a major theater hospital there, and it's a really nice facility.   I'm sure he's being very well taken care of, wherever he is:-)

  • The past few days have been terrible in that region so my heart sunk. I am glad he is doing as well as possible. My thoughts are with your family.
