Weird W-2 Update
Thought I would give an update to my post about DHs weird W2 from a few days ago in case anyone else gets something like this 
I had posted that we received DHs W-2 and it showed less than a 1/3 of what it should have for his wages. DH tried looking on MyPay but it was saying that W-2s hadn't been released yet. He called finance and they told him that no AF W-2 had been released (supposed to be mailed out on Monday) so they were not sure exactly what he had or where it had come from.
They had him come in today so they could see the W-2 and try to figure it out. At the end they still had no idea since nothing on the paper matched anything in their system. He had to leave the W-2 and envelope it came in with the financial guys who are reporting the issue. We should be getting the real W-2 this week.
Extremely strange! Who knows where the heck it came from....it is 100% official looking. They financial guys couldn't see anything "wrong" with it except none of the numbers were right (including the employer ID numbers).

I must have missed your original post -- is this something he received in the mail?
Sounds like someone is trying to pull some kind of scam by sending out fake W-2s, but I can't for the life of me figure out how someone else could benefit from giving other people fake W-2s.....
The year my DH had student loans reimbursed the W-2 was wrong. We got TWO corrected versions before they got it right. They sent us a W-2 in the mail (it was back in 2007), but I think now you can get it on mypay.
Travel/PCS W-2s also are sent in the mail usually, we received ours last week. Did you PCS this year?
He will get a separate W-2 for SL Repay, PCS/travel, and basic pay/bonuses. The Employer ID numbers are different for each type.
