Most romantic Maui hotels/resorts you have stayed at?
We are planning our babymoon and would like to splurge a little bit. Beachfront is ideal. We have only stayed at the Ashton Mahana, and would like to go somewhere with more amenities onsite. Which type of room did you book? What made it great? Thanks so much!
Re: Most romantic Maui hotels/resorts you have stayed at?
It's not beachfront, but we had an incredible ocean view for a shitton less (well, for us at least, since we got a local rate) than any of the beach resorts. They have a shuttle to run you down to one of the mega resorts. I found it far romantic to be in a smaller more private hotel than to be among or thousands of closest friends.

I did stay at the 4S on our wedding night, 5 years ago, and for $600 we had an oceanview, except it was barely a peakaboo that we really needed binos for. I'd rather have the expansive views of hotel wailea and have them drive me to and from dinner at spago which I can afford b/c of saving on the hotel
Our wedding on Wilson Island!
We stayed at the Hyatt in Maui for our honeymoon and it was fantastic. Very romantic, super comfy beds, amazing views and great pool.
The beach there is rocky but I am more of a lay at the pool and look at the ocean type. The Sheraton has a great beach though.
We stayed at the Fairmont Kea Lani this past Fall and absolutely loved it. We booked the lowest level room and it was gorgeous (even had a peek of the ocean). All the rooms are suites with a separate bedroom and livingroom and HUGE bathroom with soaker tub and shower built for two
. There's also a large wrap around balcony.
The hotel itself is beautiful, the pool is awesome and open 24 hours, hot tubs too. There's a really nice swimmable beach, the sunsets from there are incredible!
We loved chillin' in the lounge, it's really nice, open air with a view of the pool and ocean. They have cozy little two-seater seats and awesome cocktails, with nice music playing.
I can't see how someone wouldn't find this hotel romantic...it's all there.
