I totally F'd up

And I'm super upset and don't know what to do.

We were going to go to a competition out of state. We have to get school board approval.

The school board meets every third monday-so this Monday, but it was a holiday, there was no mention of changing dates, so I assumed that it would be next Monday.

They met on Tuesday of this week.

My girls can't compete.

I'm devastated that I made this mistake. I've been crying at my desk for the past 2 hours. I've told one mom-her uncle is on the school board to ask him if there is anything I can do.

I'm so sorry that you feel so bad! Is there anyway that you can talk to whoever is in charge to get approval that way?

That really sucks! Why didn't they post a notice somewhere saying they were meeting on Tuesday! I hope you can get something figured out!

I hope that there is some way that you can just get ahold of the board and ask them to consider your request. If it is the kind of thing that they generally approve on a fairly regular basis maybe they can all just "vote" or give their Ok via email or something?
