Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

DC nail shop?
My mom is coming to visit next weekend and we are going to tea at the Mayflower and she wants to get her nails done (mani/pedi) afterwards. It's doesn't need to be a fancy spa, just a nice nail shop...under $75 for mani/pedi would be nice.
Any recommendations in DC, near the Mayflower would be a plus. Thanks!!

thanks, ladies! unfortunately, we're changing our plans, but it should work out fine. apparently, the Mayflower had a Groupon for tea that expires soon so they are completely booked up next weekend :-(
So mom and I will have to "settle" (lol) for tea at the Mandarin Oriental. The reviews look pretty good, so I don't think mom will feel deprived :-)
But we'll still probably head over to that area for our nails...the spa at the Mandarin is pretty pricey and I don't think there's much else right around there.
