  • I would want to spend a year traveling to each of 12 places and spending a month in each. At the moment the places include Ireland, road trip through the US, road trip through Canada, New Zealand, Tuscany, Scotland, and a few places I probably just can't remember right now.

  • Top of my list:

    Spain

Croatia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Serbia, Russia (I've studied this area extensively and I can't wait to go there)

    Austria

    Turkey

    Maldives

Indonesia, Phillipines, Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand

    Morocco

    Brazil, Chile

It's clearly not a short list but if I went to all of these places before I died, I'd be very happy.

  • I would be living back at home in AZ with my FI! I currently split my time in Denver for work and travel back to AZ as much as possible. That's obviously the sentimental answer! I have a list of places to visit, but I'll say my top one right now is going to the Maldives. We were in the Seychelles this fall and want to go back, so I think we're going to make a trip to both places next year.

    Our wedding on Wilson Island!

  • I would walk the El Camino de Santiago de Compostela.

  • My dream vacation would be a long one and one that probably never ends!

Top of my list would be New Zealand and Galapagos.  Then, Fiji.  Then, I would want to tackle Asia, one country at a time!

    Yes or this too

  • (My officemate is in Ethiopia right now!)

The top of my dream list is to visit the poles. I doubt I'll ever have the $25K to get to the North Pole, let alone the $35K to reach the South Pole.
    Sad

On a more realistic scale, but still extremely unlikely, I want to go to Inaccessible Island. Even just Tristan da Cunha would be nice.

  • I?m in love with whole of Italy just wana be there for a month.
  • Bora Bora

    Italy

    Croatia

    New Zealand

    Germany

  • Right now I'd love to go to the NFC Championship game this weekend!

My broader travel wish list is:

Summer Olympics (preferably somewhere in Asia)

Seeing Weezer in Japan (going to Japan this summer so I'm keeping my fingers crossed they plan some shows for then)

Cooking classes in Italy -- week or so.

Chocolate trip to the Hershey spa and Ben & Jerry's factory

Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime.

Come visit us!  Unless you're a Giants fan.  Then you can stay home.  :)

  • Exploring Paris for a month staying at a ridiculously lavish hotel like the Crillon or Meurice, then a month exploring the rest of France.
  • H and I have a (probably unrealistic) retirement dream of doing one of Cunard's World cruises.  The ones that last 3 months ago to all the way around the world.

We do hope to spend our retirement taking wonderful vacations (the ILs are doing that now and I'm jealous!!  They've recently gone on a cruise of the Panama Canal and a river cruise on the Danube.

  • Dream Vacation:  taking DH to Scandinavia to see the midnight sun.

And I want to check off as many of the UNESCO World Heritage and Olympic Games sites as possible, but I do not want to plan my vacations around those goals.

But really I just want a cruise.  It's been nearly 20 months since I have been on a cruise and I am seriously suffering cruise withdrawal.

  • Right now my top 2 are Philippines and Laos (for tubing).
