Time to pop the cork!

Just opened a bottle of red. Feels so good.

I brought M to the market for lunch with friends and he was a terror! Luckily a friend's 8 year old daughter watched him a bit so I could socialize, but then he accidentally tripped and fell on a woman's roses (that she stupidly had laying on the ground behind her chair) and I had to strap him into the stroller, once he was strapped in he just whined so I had to leave. Pretty much my only adult encounter since Friday.

He fell asleep on the sofa once we got home and suddenly I felt warmth on my butt, yep, he peed all over the sofa, himself and me in his sleep! So his nap was cut short and he was grouchy all afternoon. How do I get pee out of a couch?!

Anyone else enjoying a drink?

Re: Time to pop the cork!

  • Wow!  Sounds like that red is very well deserved!
  • I'd try an enzymatic cleaner like the ones used for pets...but there might be an easier solution if human pee isn't as offensive as dog/cat pee.  Not sure, never had a kid pee on a couch.

    Cheers to a rough day!

  • Febreeze! We soak up the wee with kitchen towel, clean with a little soapy water, scrub with a little water, soak up with kitchen towel again, Febreeze the area and then dry with hair dryer or let dry by it self. Its happened to us a couple of times. Sorry that you have had such a shoddy day.

  • Thanks for the tips!

I don't recall ever seeing febreeze here, I'll have to take a look tomorrow or ask my friend who has a dog if she has anything, otherwise I'll try baking soda.

The monster is sleeping now! woohoo!

  • We have Febreeze just over the channel, I can always pop some in the post for you... At least I think I am allowed to post it. I go through way too much Febreeze, in fact my kitchen surface cleaner and my floor cleaner are both 'Flash with Febreeze'.

Thanks for the offer, I found some this morning! I never noticed it at the store before because the bottle is different - it is light blue with dark blue letters - I seem to remember the one I would buy in Canada was a white bottle with blue and pink lettering...
