Cancer sucks!!

Yesterday afternoon H got a phone call that his sort of grandma (long story) is in the hospital and only has a few days left to live.. She's been fighting cancer for the last few years and this time around she decided it's time to stop doing treatments. I had a nail appt scheduled for this morning so H said he'd go see her then. I offered to cancel and go with him but he said it was ok and he would go alone. I feel bad but think he may want the time alone with her. I've only met her once.. I feel horrible for H's cousin he lost his mom a year and a half ago suddenly and now he's losing the only other relative he is close to. Cancer sucks!!

Too many stories recently of people dying from cancer!

I've got a family friend who just lost one of their family friends to cancer, he said he'd just celebrated Christmas with her only a month before and now poof, she's gone. I agree, cancer sucks! T&P's to your hubby and his family, and also to you for the strength to help him cope with his loss. *hugs*

Oh hun, I'm sorry for you and H, and the rest of your family. She knows it's time to go, and will be at peace with that. Cancer really, truly does suck. My thoughts are with you :-/

Thanks ladies. H is still at the hospital waiting for her to wake up so he can say goodbye. It's probably good I stayed home I cry way too easy and may have just made it harder.

You're right! I'm sure it will be a very sad time for H and his family but having a chance to say goodbye is priceless. I hope that it helps him through the grieving process.
