Fitness and Food Goal Accountability (Check Out)!!!

How did all you wonderful Juneville ladies do this week on sticking to the goals we set last Sunday? I went to the gym 7 days in a row!! My last off day was Friday the 13th. I am switching it up with cario/weight training class, cardio on my own and Zumba. I are going to add Yoga into the mix this week. I kept each day under my calorie count :-)  Two co-workers my age and same fitness level joined my gym so we have been going to the gym everyday together and it has been AMAZING!  I got a message from Myfitnesspal this am that I logged for 15 days straight. I have lost 4.4 pounds with the gym and myfitnesspal in just over two weeks. I know it is a lot and kinda fast but Food, fitness, and no soda...my body doesn't know what to do!

  • That's so awesome!!  I'm fine throughout the week, but the weekends is where I struggle because we have so many plans made.  Thurs night when doing 30 DS I did something to my ankle, so I took Fri off.  Today the snow was my burning of calories and I have to babysit and then go to a friend's house.  I'm hoping I get back to 30DS tomorrow.
  • OH NOOOOOOOOOOO! Feel better!!!! Two days rest is good. Ankle injuries are the worst! I used to mess my left wrist up doing the 30DS. I think from bearing the weight on push ups. I am not sure why.

     

    I find myself looking at the menu of where we are going out to ahead of time and getting a healthy choice in my head. I plan my other meals around this and don't open the menu once at the restaurant. It helps with my not changing my pre selected lighter choice. Tonight I am getting a seared ahi tuna salad with mandarin oranges in a sesame ginger dressing! Thinking about it all day is making my mouth water....tonight if I look I will end up with chicken wings! So, no menu for me!

  • I started the week great then lost it a bit Thurs/Fri. We had plans both those nights, so my eating was shot, and my Thurs plan for the gum went down the drain when my parent-teacher conference went over by 30 mins - UGH. But it's back to the gym tomorrow (Sun-Thurs), and I already meal planned for the week!

  • I didn't really make goals for last week, but I had my weigh-in today and I've officially lost 7.5 pounds in the last 3 weeks. :D

    I AM SO IMPRESSED! THAT IS FANTASTIC! KEEP UP THE AMAZING WORK! What are you doing that has been so effective? What are you eating/not eating? What has your exercise been? I'M JEALOUS!!! Hopefully, I can join you at the 3 week mark.

  • Thank you! :) I lost 3 pounds the first week (but I account some of that as possible water weight), and then 2 every week since then. I'd say there's several things making it efffective for me. First off is not eating out so much. When we do eat out, it's been either at chipotle with a healthy burrito bol, or a sandwich shop like Subway. I have been taking a fiber supplement every morning, technically I started doing it for my IBS but it has the added benefit of curbing my appetite the rest of the day. I take fiber select gummies, and they actually don't taste bad at all. I also eat a LOT of greek yogurt, lol, usually like 1 or 2 cups of chobani every day as a snack. And of course, i'm logging everything I eat and checking out the calories before I make a decision. There have been a couple days where I just HAD to have something junk food-ish, so I budgeted my calories accordingly so I could spare about 200 for that extra thing. I try really hard not to deprive myself so I don't feel like i'm dieting, but rather living a lifestyle change.

    As far as what i've been doing for exercise, I've been getting on the elliptical machine every other day (or walking 30+ minutes), and this last week i've been doing some strength training as well. When I started the elliptical on January 1st I could barely go 15 minutes without feeling like I was going to pass out. Now i've managed to get up to 25 minutes, so i'm feeling proud about that. :)

  • I did horrible this week. I didn't stick to my plan at all. I've been having a lot of lower back issues this week where I can't move very well so I haven't worked out at all. I need to shape up though, we went bridesmaid dress shopping last night for my bff's wedding this summer and I felt like I looked like a stuffed sausage in the dress she picked out for us. Now I need to kick it into high gear so I at least I can look like a sexy sausage in it, lol.
  • I have been logging on my fitness pal for almost 3 weeks now, and have done really well staying under my calorie goal.  I have also worked out 5 days a week since I started logging, I am doing 30 day shred, however I have not lost much weight at all.  Maybe a pound.  I am kind of discouraged by it.  I have not eaten fast food at all, anyone have any ideas?

  •   I stayed under my calorie count every day except yesterday.  I was doing good until we ate Mexican food last night.  Oops!  I ran 3 days and did Zumba one.  

      So far today I'm under my calorie count.  I'm going to do 30 Day Shred later tonight.  I'm going to run 3 at least 3 (Mon.Thur.Fri) days and do Zumba(Tues) once.
