3 minutes from my house. 45s @ Bay Area. Halfway between downtown and galveston.

On your way to Galveston...I-45 South.
It surprised me when Baybrook got the only stand-along Lush store in town, but really it's a REALLY busy mall, akin to The Woodlands or Memorial City.
So sort of not surprised, and glad it's near me so I can check it out
We even have a Vera Bradley store. I know you're all jealous...lol.
That Lush store rakes in the bucks (mostly from CallMeKel). I went there the Sunday before school went back in January, and their table pedestals were so bare I thought they were closing the store... but no, it was just from the pople shopping that weekend.
Maybe they gross so high at Baybrook because there aren't a lot of other choices for people out this way. There isn't much east, because it's coastal. There isn't anything south, because it's coastal. Mall of the Mainland kind of sucks (it's in Texas City). There isn't a big mall in Galveston. It's a lot of little regions that feed into this one area as far as shopping is concerned... and to a lot of these people, it's "too far" or a day trip to go to the Galleria or somewhere further. There's plenty of $$ to spend out here, though. Lots of the NASA/Space Alliance employees, lots of chemical plant people. And all the boat people who live out in Kemah and Clear Lake.

Haha, the reason the Lush was bare was because they have BOGO sales on gifts and Christmas products for boxing day
And yeah, I think location has a lot to do with it. I think I am halfway between Baybrook and First Colony mileage-wise. Baybrook feels closer. The next closest mall is the Galleria and it's a nightmare, and I don't shop at the Village a whole lot -- they're a run to one store and get out place for me.
yes perhaps... but the thing i wanted wasn't a christmas item! it was regular old year round stuff.

b b b but...
I'M PRACTICALLY IN TOMBALL!!!
Ditto. I live in Pearland, but shop at Baybrook (sometimes First Colony). I think Baybrook a great mall. Lots of stores, but not nearly as busy as Memorial City (my other fav, but omg it gets packed!)
