Two questions - about mattresses & binders.

The first is about flipping mattresses - we have a very thick foam thing on top of our mattress. Should we flip the foam thing, or the mattresses as well?

The second question is about those home management binders. I want to make one, but as it stands now, we're in an apartment. We will be moving in a few months, but to a new apartment that we'll be in for several years. What do you think would have to be done differently for an apartment as opposed to a house?

Re: Two questions - about mattresses & binders.

  • Not so sure about the mattress.

Home management binders are really to make your life more easier. They're not based on whether you live in a home or an apartment. You design it the way you need it to work for you. When I decided to make mine, I just did a ton of googling for them, looking at many different blogs. If you're on Pinterest, there is a lot of HM ideas on there. I also made all of my own pages, simply because in all of the printables I found, none really were what I was looking for. These are the sections and contents I have in mine:

Home: 'You Are Here' page with directions to our home, baby/house sitter page, emergency phone numbers, & an emergency packing list

Insurance Policies (with copies of each policy): homeowners, auto w/ registration, health and dental, life, other

Finance: MTD bill paying checklist, list of accounts and due dates

Family & Health: Individual info w/ medical history, pet info

Meals: Weekly/monthly meal planner, meal options, grocery list, price list,m menus

Cleaning: weekly cleaning schedule/checklist, spring/fall cleaning list, helpful info

Planning: important dates, payday schedules and work holidays, school calendar, event planning, post office holidays

Home Maintenance: repair/maintenance/improvement log, paint/fabric info, garden

    Addresses & Phone Numbers

    Misc
