Interview/Post-Interview Questions

I've been a SAHM for the last 2 years and worked at a job prior to that for 18 months.  It's been a while since I've been through the interview process but I have 2 this week with (hopefully) more to come.

My first question might seem a little silly but I have long hair for the first time in my life and was wondering how I should wear it for an interview?  Should it be up or is it OK to wear it down?

Secondly, I plan on writing thank you letters after the interview.  All of my correspondence with the companies so far has been via email.  Should/can my thank-you letter be via email or regular mail?

Re: Interview/Post-Interview Questions

  • I'll never understand why people stress about their hair for an interview. IMO you should wear it the way you normally do, since you'll be most comfortable that way. I don't like the way my hair looks up, so I would never dream of wearing it that way for an interview.

You can e-mail a TY, especially if they're making a decision quickly. Opinion is so split on this, as long as you write one you're probably be fine. Some people think snail mail TYs are archaic, and some think it shows that you're putting in extra effort.
