So I didn't make it to 30 lbs lost this week like I wanted to. I've been wearing too-big size 14 jeans for a while now, because I refuse to buy new jeans every time I go down a size. So just for the sake of checking I asked my mom what the biggest size jeans she has are, because her weight is always going up and down. She's always been smaller than me because she's a personal trainer. She said size 10, which is what she is wearing now because she gained weight over the holidays. So I tried on her size 10s and they fit!! I can wear size 10 jeans now!! She was kinda pissed, but in a good way (pissed for her, happy for me)
Re: AW- New jeans size
That's fantastic! You dropped 2 sizes lady! KEEP GOING!
You know tho, I heard that even if you don't spring for a new wardrobe until the end of the weight-loss journey, you should buy yourself a piece of clothing here and there to fit your new frame. It's like part of the reward for working so hard.
Also I've heard that after you've reached your goal weight, you shouldn't hang onto your larger sized clothes except for maybe one pair of pants or something. I've heard people keep one item of clothing to sit there as a reminder of where you were, and how far you've come, but they don't save their entire closet of bigger sized things, because then it almost lets you slip up and fall off the wagon or something.
I don't know if these things are effective through firsthand experience, but I have a friend's mom who's on Weight Watchers, and she's told me these things have helped her and other women. :-)
Anyways congrats!
That's awesome!! Great job! And that one pound is going to be demolished this week for sure!
I tried on a pair of pants that didn't fit me a month ago to wear to work today and they fit again, so that was a great way to start this Monday!
