Makeup question

It may be a stupid question but how do you get this look (eyes)? Is it a thick line of black eyeliner??

Re: Makeup question

  • Looks like black liquid eyeliner and a sh!t ton of black mascara to me.

Just line your top lid, as close to the lash line as possible, with black liquid liner and then put on a bunch of black mascara. I like to extend the liner just past the outside corner of my eye to give a little bit of a cat eye effect.

  • It looks like she has lined the top waterline. It's called tightlining and there are Youtube videos showing you how to do it.

yes, tightlining with a pencil on the waterline, and a thin line of liquid liner on the lid.

  • I don't even know if she lined her upper waterline on this.  It definitely looks like there liquid liner on the top, though (and extended a bit for a slight cat eye), and a crazy amt of mascara. I'd also wager a guess that there's so false lashes / lash extensions going on there; the woman who can pull this off without them is rare indeed.
  • I know a bunch of people who do this all the time. Liquid works, but I prefer a gel since it's easier to manage. Bobbie Brown and Mac sell really nice gel liner pots, but you can get good ones at the drugstore now too.

I would do a line on the top with a pencil, then do a cat eye with the gel (look up how to on Youtube), and then fill in the gaps with a pencil to make it more dramatic.
