Ulcer Remedies?

Hey ladies,

I'm not sure that one really does exist, but I am asking anyway. I have 5... yes 5 ulcers in my mouth right now, and 4 of them are in the same location. Needless to say, I'm in a good deal of pain. I have the Orabase stuff that numbs it, which works fine, but do you know of any home remedies or ideas that make them go away quicker??

I wish I knew the name of the stuff my mom used to give us when we were little. She worked for a dentist and he gave her a bottle (I believe it was prescription strength). It was incredible. I'll give her a call and see if she can remember, it may be available over the counter by now!

Have you tried sore throat spray? Also look for stuff with lidocaine. It will numb the area.

Swish with hydrogen peroxide a few times a day. It'll take the pain out temporarily. If you get them frequently, use peroxide every time you brush (after you brush). It helps regulate the pH of your mouth and prevents them.

Peroxyl is awesome. It's in the drugstore next to the mouthwash - its like hydrogen peroxide specifically made for your mouth and it tastes minty. They gave it to me when I had an infection and it healed it within a day or two. I use it for any time I get a cut in my mouth.

This is the OTC stuff that I get too!
