How to nicely blow a guy off...
Yesterday I ran into a guy that I went on a few dates with a few years back. I was a little embarrassed because I kind of just stopped calling him (mean, I know). Because I was embarrassed I turned into a babbling idiot. So here is my question:
Last night he sent me a text saying "Hey, it was really great to run into you. Do you want to get together and do dinner or drinks some night?". I have a BF so I am not intersested. But I don't want to assume that he means for a romantic date and I don't want to sound like an ass....
WWYS?

Re: How to nicely blow a guy off...
If you are interested in a platonic friendship with him, I'd say something like "My boyfriend and I are pretty busy during the evening, but I'd love to catch up over coffee some afternoon." Or find some other way to insert a reference to bf so that he knows you'd just want to meet up as friends. If you have no interest in him at all, then I'd just say things are really hectic right now, or something like that.
I like this idea.
This is exactly what I'd do.
So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past.
Ditto!
I like this idea. Thanks. I didn't want to lie considering I was embarrassed about my "bad" behavior last time, lol.
