Rise and shine! For some of us. The rest of you enjoy a good night's rest. I'm sitting here procrastinating but really should get moving. My mom is arriving in a couple days and I should be getting ready for that. She has a broken wrist that is taking longer to heal than normal so I need to set up a complete downstairs arrangement to maximize her ability to be with LittleGirl. Of course before I do that I need to clean some stuff in the downstairs, maybe package up some boxes to ship, possibly finally put away all of the more "random" Christmas presents BabyD got.
QOTD: What's the weather like for you?
Bahrain has been cold! I'm sorry, but 53F (for the am, should hit 64F later) and blustery is just cold. Part of why I have been procrastinating was waiting for the sun to get high enough to heat our house. Even have LittleGirl in her pajamas still, on an infant pillow lounger, blanket tucked all around (arms out), and a hat on.
Re: Morning!
Good morn. I'm up at 6:45 after going to bed at 1 a.m. and barely sleeping. I sleep like a freaking toddler. It blows.
QOTD: Well I haven't looked outside yet today but we got our first real snow of the season last week. It's come a few times before but always melted within a few days.
I've got to say, snow-less winter is a lot more enjoyable than I expected it to be.
I slept like crap last night as well. I feel bad, DH made a comment about my tossing and turning around 3 am. Then again, he could've gone to the couch if it really bothered him! I threw in the towel around 6:30 am and decided to get some work done on a professional development course. At least it was a productive morning!
I'm off to work in a bit to teach two classes. The "full time" teacher will be on a field trip with the group we co-teach so she left me her two upper level classes to substitute. I'm a bit sad I couldn't go on the field trip, especially since it's to the Museum of Fine Arts here and I've been wanting to go. At least I get some serious time this morning to plan and correct while waiting between classes! I'm also going for my very first public doctor's visit here in Spain today to check out what the heck is going on with my voice. I'm having serious issues this year and pray it's nothing big.
QOTD: "Chilly" (10C) and light rain. It's typical winter weather here, and I'm thankful it's finally raining since it's been quite dry recently!
Morning. Add me to the list of those who slept poorly. Mine wasn't my fault, though. DD is starting to teethe, so the night weaning plan I was following is now out the window and I'm back to survival mode. It was going so well, too.
QOTD: According to weather.com, it's currently 41?F here. It's cloudy and looks like it will start to drizzle or mist at any minute. Scratch that. It is misting. I'm glad I don't have to go anywhere.
Morning! I slept pretty well, and DD slept until 6:00, so that?s ok I guess.
QOTD: It?s snowing here, and the temp is hovering just about 0 celcius. The driving wasn?t too bad this morning, but there isn?t a ton of snow either. I?m hoping we get just an inch or two...
Morning! Add me to the list of crap sleep last night...I tossed and turned, and then had a dream where I was growing a beard under my chin. Don't ask...it freaked me out.
QOTD: Weather here is pretty typical for a Dutch winter. Rainy and above freezing...probably in the 40s F.
Morning!
Today was all about trying to stay out of my own way. It didn't work so well. Did manage to go grocery shopping and am currently oven roasting some almonds.
The other day when I said the one thing I would change about H is his delay in finishing projects? Yeah well right now I have a chandelier 1/2 re-wired, a ceiling fan that he needs to finish painting hanging in pieces in the garage, and now TWO wooden doors that need to be oiled and have the weather strip on the bottom re-attached. Since it had been rather quiet outside, I go to see what he's up to. The project that he is currently working on? The start of a vegetable patch. ::sigh::
QOTD: The wet season has pretty much started, so it's in the high 30's with periods of torrential downpour, then steamy, then more downpour.
Morning!
I slept really well, but could have used a few more hours. I was planning to go back to sleep after dropping the kid off at school, but I need to get my house cleaned.
Going for lunch with friends today, I'm looking forward to a good steak.
QOTD: This weekend was sunny and about 20C, today is about 16C and overcast. It is not usually this "warm" here in January - we've had an incredibly mild winter so far this year.
Morning.
I slept ok, just not enough... went to bed later than planned... was knitting and kept saying "just 2 more rows"... so now I've nearly finished that little project (a stripey hat for the son of a friend) and then tonight I'll get back to the other project which is a fluffy stuffed frog for N... check out this yarn for fluffy (yes that's the frog I'm doing)
QOTD: It was a little chilly coming into work but dry at the moment... my phone says it is 6C and cloudy... also says there might be a passing shower this morning - not that I can confirm as I won't see the great outdoors til I finish this evening.
Good morning! I'm exhausted today after staying up a bit late to watch the beginning of the (American) football game. Hurray for the Giants! Now I need to make sure I'm off the day after the Superbowl, I just can't pull an all-nighter anymore. Am going to look at a flat today that I have high hopes about, wish me luck. We've been flat hunting for ages.
QODT: It's been strangely warm here. Over freezing and yesterday it was actually SUNNY! It's been a weird winter.
BFP Apr 2012, EDD Dec 19 2012 * twin h/b at 6wk, 9wk scan * Baby A lost at 12wks, Baby B was my rainbow born at 36wks
PittPurple - good luck with the flat hunting! Hope this one's the one!
Good morning! I slept all right. I have the evening shift in the ER today so I wanted to sleep in. But my body thought it was time to get up at 7, like normal. Luckily I was able to fall back asleep after a little while, so hopefully it'll be enough to get me through my first day of rotations this semester. eek!
QOTD: It's been snowing on and off the past few days, but it's not snowing right now. It's very pretty outside though! Temps around 25F-ish. If the sun would come out it would be perfect winter weather!
Good morning. I always sleep like crap on Sunday nights, and last night was no exception. Should be a busy day at work, and then tonight I want to start making sure we have things organized for our trip on Friday.
QOTD: It's been a pretty nice and mild winter so far. Today is a bit overcast and maybe around 10 C.
Cecilia arrived 12 October 2012
This times a thousand. I hate Sunday nights. And when I cant fall asleep then I get really nervous and feel so much pressure to fall asleep ASAP. I think I slept maybe 4 hours last night.
I have work and German tonight.
QOTD: 14 ?C and sunny
Good afternoon!
Sorry to hear that everyone had such crappy nights last night. I hope that tonight is better
I had a fantastic night! R slept soundly between feedings, even if they were every 3 hours, he was really quiet and sweet for those 3 hours. I feel like dancing!
Might venture out to the grocery store today. I haven't really been in public in over a week, so the prospect of groceries is way exciting! Oy!
QOTW: Kelly spoke for the southwest Germany contingent. It is really miserable outside. I almost wish we could have snow, just because white would be preferable to all this gray.
Good afternoon!
I slept well as baby girl slept for 5.5 hours and then another 3 so I can't really complain.
I feel like I've been productive already today as I've actually showered, half dried my hair, and made lunch. I've been really bad with making sure I eat enough and eat well when I'm home by myself with the little one, so I'm proud of myself already today. Have some laundry and some online shopping to do today, also hoping to do some work today and maybe make some soup.
QOTD: It's overcast and 46F here today. I should get out for a walk, but we were out so much this weekend I may just stay in all day.
Morning ladies!
I'm going for a run this morning, lunch with a friend, then to my university to try to get my transcripts and having dinner with a friend tonight. I go home on Friday, I'm excited to be going back.
QOTD: windy and in the 40's. The weather in the Midwest has been crazy these past three weeks.
