That house is going to be absolutely stunning when it's done! The woods around are so pretty- is it on a large chunk of land? I love the roofline. Is that a wrap around deck (swoon!) or just some worker's support? They build houses so differently down here, I love to see how it's done in other parts of the country.
ETA: Awesome- I looked at your blog. I meant wrap around porch (LOL at deck- but, that's what it looks like now, I guess
. It is so exciting to see everything start to come together- I hope we get to do it again some day (evil underwater FL market!!!).
We have about 2.5 acres. ILs have about 9 more around us so we have a good amount of space.
The deck will turn into a porch within the next few weeks and yes it wraps around. There will be a screen porch off the kitchen in the back. It's amazing how different it looks at the various stages!

Nice!!! Actually Im quite jealous..... Maybe one day we'll settle down properly and build something we like
But our next house wherever it may be will have a craft room!! An open floor plan dining room with sewing stuff everywhere will not work too well once DS starts being more mobile! I can't gate is off or shut the door! Gonna have to tidy up after myself....

That is beautiful! We are looking at building in the very near future and are wanting to build a home similar to yours. Where did you find your plans? We are having trouble agreeing on what we both like
Can't wait to see how it looks as progress is made!
