TIP on my FB feed

Oh my! I open up FB this morning and my friend's STBXH has gotten into her FB account and is copy and pasting her messages to another friend into her feed.

Apparently she's cheated on him and they're going through a nasty divorce. They were divorcing before he ever found out about the affair. She has a very interesting way of writing, so I really don't think he's making them up. He has a very one-fingered-typing style of writing.

Of course, there's a young child involved. Actually, there is a young child and a pile of step-children involved, which is always so sad to me because I hate how step-mom/dad is expected to just *poof* vanish after a divorce no matter how long they were in the child's life.

Because it wasn't nearly dramatic enough, her friends are jumping in to defended her and HIS MOM is replying to them with things like this:

Nichole, you're not involved in this matter. My son is reacted to a very hurtful ordeal. We don't care how you feel about it. Let me have time to talk with him & calm the waters. If you think it's so childish then please don't get on the band wagon because it's not helping.

Wow, so he can put their business on blast, but her friends can just STFU when they say things like "Maybe you guys should be handling this privately."

And it finally devolves into name callings

T: Get off her page!!!! A-sshole!!!

E: TELL HER TO GET OFF MY FRIENDS B-ITCH

The funny thing is that I'm a big TIP gawker and even this is making ME uncomfortable. I don't care who's been in her britches, I still think that she's fabulous. But taking a fight to FB is... wow. He's a gem.

Re: TIP on my FB feed

  • The knuckle dragging attitude may have a little bit to do with the end of the relationship, but what do I know?

I didnt hack it it was my wife account and my password !

  • Oh......my.

DD this, De-friend her, Unsubscribe, or tell her to De-activate her account?

I don't have her cell number, but I'm sure that one of her closer friends will.

  • FB is such a bad bad ugly thing in the hands of the wrong people.

  • Yikes!  Talk about airing your dirty laundry.  I know it's your friend, but it sounds like an epic trainwreck in real time.  If you need something to do today I'd probably get out some Orville Redenbacher and watch the fireworks.

I'm reminded of this every day. I use facebook to make pop culture observations. I can't believe how many people use it like it's a diary and then are so *shocked* when someone responds. "This is none of your business and I don't care what you say!!!!!111!!!"

I was chastised (half joking, half not) for not updating on my pregnancy. I mean, I posted that I was pregnant, occasionally posted that everything was going well, but some people were like WHY DON'T I KNOW HOW DILATED YOU ARE!?

Oh I HATE when people post that stuff. "In transition now, baby is crowning!!!" UM, then don't you have better sh!t to do than update your FB?

I currently have two trainwrecks on my FB feed, both people from high school that I keep around for my own amusement. One's profile picture is of her and her boyfriend and he's wearing a prison uniform. The other has a stalker on Facebook who posted on her wall that she killed herself and convinced a bunch of her friends it was true. AND SHE WILL NOT UNFRIEND HIM. He's still on her friends list and not blocked and now threatening her all the time. Her friends all respond about how awful and stupid he is and they hate him but no one points out that maybe she should un-friend him and block him. I'm starting to suspect that she's actually doing it to stir up drama because his profile is clearly fake.

That last bit made me go from "any attention is good attention?" to "omg, people be crazy."

Tell her to De-activate. And change her password. She can reactivate later without losing anything.

  • Oh gross. I just realized that her step-kids are old enough to have their own Facebook accounts... when one of them started responding to the posts.
  • Have her change her password and de-activate.  When I deleted my Facebook I had something like 2 weeks to access it again and everything would come back.

I miss FB sometimes because some of my people were such trainwrecks... but I do not at all miss the minute by minute baby/wedding/school updates.  Or the AWs.
