They simultaneously disgust me yet have a gripping hold on me. I always hated them but recently gave them another shot. I had to go get a greek salad for lunch just to get a fix.

Oh, how I love olives. Fran doesn't like them, which is great because he picks them out of salads and gives them to me.

I have a love/hate relationship with olives. I, too, was once firmly in the "no olives" camp, but recently I've started to appreciate their flavor in certain things. I still find them weird, though.

Oh. Yes. The only exception to my hatred of green olives is when they are soaked in vodka.

I love olives. I think it stems from playing olive fingers as a child. One of my favorite restaurants puts blue cheese stuffed olives in their dirty martinis, and they're pretty much heaven on a toothpick.

I despise olives and it's not the saltiness. The flavor itself just doesn't do it for me. And I've tried several different kinds. All have been just a no go.

I've always hated olives and haven't had them in years. Maybe I should give them a try. I used to despise asparagus, but grilled asparagus is delicious.

Tapenade was my gateway. I ate a huge pile of it Friday night while out with friends, probably explains why I woke up and chugged a huge glass of water at 2 AM that night.

I think it's the texture of the olive that used to gross me out.

I don't think there's any other food I detest quite as much as olives. Any type, any presentation. I even picked some out of a Greek salad once, only to find that their flavor had permeated and the whole salad was ruined. On another note, I don't know why Mashed thinks I'm dramatic.
