MTV Challenge - Battle of the Exes
I never watch MTV except for the challenge shows, so I just found out through US Weekly that a new season is starting on Wednesday. I would be so much more excited if it was a better cast. I am really glad to see that Kenny and Evan are not on this season, but not happy that Johnny is there. I think it's really annoying that he is on there at all, but it's even worse because his "ex" is Camila. The cast bio on the MTV website basically says that it was a rumor that they hooked up. That shouldn't count! I'm also really really annoyed to see that Diem is back - she is very unlikeable. I really like CT, so it sucks wanting him to win, but knowing that if he does then Diem does as well.
Anyone else have any opinions before the show even starts?

I'm glad you posted this because I wasn't sure when the new season is starting. I think it will be pretty entertaining since they're pairing everyone up with their exes!

I was surprised to see that Diem is back since she hasn't been around in awhile. I agree she can be a little annoying, but I think her story is interesting and I admire that she did a challenge right after chemo. I also think CT is an awful person... he treated her terrible, but he's just psycho anyway.
I think it will be a good season. This show is one of my guilty pleasures.

I think that Dustin and Heather will be going home first or second. They are rookies and I have a feeling that the other guys are going to give Dustin a hard time about his past because most of those veteran guys are jerks!
I'm excited to see Mark, but not Robin. And I'm never excited to see stupid Johnny Bananas!

There's a Challenge Pregame episode. I watched it a week or so ago where it outlines the cast and all of their history. I used to watch Road Rules and the only Real World I've seen was Hawaii with Ruthie, so I liked finding out the background on some of them. I like Diem, but I missed the Challenge season where CT exploded on her so maybe she'll start to annoy me as the season goes.
I'd rather have Evan over Wes and anyone over Paula. Really, I'd love a Challenge of the Oldies and bring back Coral, Timmy, Ruthie, etc.
In the Pregrame episode Laurel brought up the team that's two-girls and wondered if it's fair. As in, can you imagine the challenges when they split up the teams and all the boys battle it out and then all the girls battle it out, with Rachel in a physical battle against any number of these guys? Like the episode last season where they basically ran against their opponent's path until they tackled each other? CT flattened Johnny and Tyler at the same time, and they're not small guys. I'm curious as to how they're going to tweak the game to make it an even match-up.
I totally agree! I don't know who several of the cast members are this season and would have liked to have seen more couples from much earlier seasons of the other shows. There are so many to choose from! So glad that Danny and Melinda aren't on the show though. Although they actually got divorced (right?) so that's probably much more of a serious ex situation and they probably really don't want to see each other...
I would be amazed if Trishelle had a real job now.
I like this cast a lot better than previous casts of the challenge. I wish we could get one without Paula. She grosses me out. I was SO happy that Jen isn't on it, though!
I think they only should have done couples that had long-term relationships or have a "history" of hooking up. Some of the couples on there were just 1-night stands. That doesn't count!
I remember when Mark "retired" from challenges. I am so glad to see him back.
I do agree we need an old school challenge again.
lol--for kicks I looked her up on Wikipedia--other than lingerie-related activities and a stint on some WWE program, not much going on. Maybe she'll end up on as a substitute, kind of like when Mike got to be Leroy's partner on the last challenge after that one dude got kicked off for punching someone in the face.
Hopefully Sean Duffy will be out of a job soon.
I don't know who half these people are, but I love the Challenge shows.

Diem and CT are my favorite couple of all RR and RW seasons.
I wish that they had some more old school couples as well, but we don't know whom was invited, we only know the teams who accepted.
