Rock out with my.....

Shoulder pads out???

H bought me a really cute black blazer and it has an awesome cut but I didn't realize the serious shoulder pad action until this morning when I put it on.

Hmmm....I'm trying to decide if it's rock-able or not. Haha.

  • I'm sure it looks good! PIP if you want, we'll give it to you straight!

My MIL gave me one of her old 80's Claude Montana blazers and it is awesome.

  • How big are the shoulder pads? I agree with azure-  give us a PIP!

  • Yes please PIP!  Also, if you love the blazer and the cut, I'm sure you can just get the pads taken out by a tailor.

  • How do I do a PIP? I felt good about then when I went out today, lol no awkward over-sized shoulder-pad moments so that was nice.

  • If you feel good in it and love the cut, who cares about the shoulder pads?! I'm sure it looks great :-)

But if you want to include a PIP, go to www.tinypic.com, upload the picture (size should be for an email, not a message board. those are too big), then copy the code that starts with [image...    and paste it here in the text of your message

  • Or you could just hit the button that looks like a tree (next to the smilie face at the top of the reply window), and upload an image straight from your computer:-)

Auntie Gok loves shoulder pads.  As long as someone's first thought when seeing your blazer isn't "Whoa!  Shoulder pads!" then I think it's probably fine:-)

Gah. Now I feel like an idiot. Any tips on what you should set as the dimensions?

D'oh!  I guess it doesn't work like the one on The Knot.  On TK you can upload from your computer.  I guess on TN you have to just put the image URL.  I have NO CLUE what dimensions to use......

  • I bet you can rock it! Put your hair up in like a casual/messy ponytail (so the overall look doesn't seem to 80's over-polished), some distressed skinny jeans and fun boots!
