Ugh, it's pouring rain out there. WTF? It's supposed to drop back below freezing before the day is over and turn back into flurries overnight. This is the weirdest winter ever.
Our weekend was pretty good. Poor Derek is just exhausted. We left our house at 7:30am on Saturday and didn't get home until around 11pm. He then had to be out of the house by 6:30am on Sunday. By the time he got home Sunday evening he pretty much just passed out in a chair.
Tonight's goal it to put away all of the laundry I washed and folded yesterday. Lofty goals, I know.
How was everyone's weekend?

We'll just not tell H about this little fact, m'kay?

Re: Happy Monday!
Hi Ladies.
Saturday, I spend the day with my BFF. Thankfully his surgery went well, and only had a little bit of swelling to his sinus' and no black eyes. The boys were already in bed by the time I got home, so that stunk.
Yesterday, the cold finally came out. I was miserable all day, and today is worse. I was going to stay home, but realized I wouldn't get rest. DH worked lastnight and works tonight, so he is sleeping in our bed, the boys are home today so no laying on the cough, as they would be all over me. So here I am at work, miserable, with a sign on my cubicle basically telling people to stay away. Ugh.
Tonight I am planning on going to bed when the boys do, and hopefully getting rid of this miserable thing.
Have a great day ladies.
Hello ladies. I had a good weekend, although not as productive as I hoped. I did make it out for a nice lunch with a friend yesterday, and dinner and drinks out for another friend's birthday on Saturday night. And some online shopping for beachwear! But otherwise, fairly quiet.
I haven't been able to get hold of my parents recently, so tonight I'll try calling them again just to catch up.
I'm just counting down the days until our flight on Friday ...
Cecilia arrived 12 October 2012
I had a fairly busy weekend. My sister didn't make it down Friday evening due to the weather. I took the opportunity to do some housework. She came down Saturday morning instead so I met up with her. We had lunch and did some shopping. Then she drove on to my mom's house. Kyle and I went out on Saturday evening.
Yesterday we met with my dad, sister and brother and we went to a college basketball game. Although the team didn't win we had a great time spending the day together. By the time we got home last night it was already early evening. I watched a little football, cleaned the kitchen and then went to bed.
Tonight should be fairly quiet. I'm hoping for a good workout and maybe I'll go to bed early.
Well, we didn't win the drawing for a free cycle and I cried in the back of the room and our doctor caught me crying. Sigh. I promised myself that I would get my hopes up, but then the weather was bad and only 13 couples came to the seminar and it was so hard not to.
Also, I am officially an old lady now. I picked up my new glasses on Sunday and I am trying to figure out the various focal points on my progressive lenses. On the plus side, I didn't have to hold the menu at arms length last night just to read it.
I honestly have no idea what is on my schedule for the rest of the week. I'm going to have to go to the grocery some time, since that didn't happen this weekend. I lost a pound last week, so that's 5 since the beginning of the year and I want to keep it up.

Reba - I'm sorry about not getting the free cycle. =(
raynes, you're totally right, this weather is ridiculous. RIDICULOUS. We're supposed to be taking kids skating on Thursday - and it's supposed to be +3! I want my winter.
I have a big lunar new year feast planned for tonight. I'm especially excited about the wontons with chile oil. Mmm. Chile oil. I also have a staff meeting, and I'm hoping to get to the flower shop to pick up some blooms for the mantle. It's so nice having fresh flowers in the house!

Reba, I am so sorry!!
I am looking forward to a week at work without having to train a new manager for another store. I have SO much to do and need a week without a shadow.
Tonight I am going jogging with a friend and then to Zumba. I have decided to run in the Disney Princess Half Marathon in Feb 2013. Anyone interested?
Hugs Reba! My day is off to a cRappy start. There was a problem with the train, so I had to take the bus. I'm still not at work. I have tons to get accomplished and will have to cancel dinner plans tonight if I don't get it all done. It's been awhile since I had to cancel plans for work.
The weekend was kinda blah. Yesterday, we went to dinner with SUL, BIL and nephews. It was a complete disaster. Both nephews had meltdowns at the restaurant, as did BIL when the food took too long and they brought out a spicy dish that was supposed to be mild.
I'm so incredibly sorry Reba, I wanted you to get that free cycle so badly.
My weekend was pretty good. Saturday we went up to my sister's house for my nephews birthday party, it was a lot of fun and his cake I made for him turned out really cute. Sunday was a lazy day, I did a few loads of laundry and lounged on the couch in front of the TV.
No big plans tonight just a quick workout and dinner.
Happy Monday. It's been raining since Friday so I had a very lazy weekend. I watched tv, read and did laundry. The only positive is I finally coughed up the money and bought some boots I've been wanting for ages. I have been searching for them in the stores but could never find my size. I finally just ordered them online. I can't wait to get them.
In good news DH has an interview today at 4. any vibes would be appreciated. He has 1 offer already from one firm but this firm could be a really good opportunity for him. It's also only 6 miles from our place. Yeah for no commuting!
Reba: I'm upset for you. I was really hoping you guys would get it. You and Jim are some of the most amazing people I've ever met.
AuntB: I'll think about doing the princess thing. I do NOT run though. Like at all, unless someone is chasing me
Today is records day, I did my grades on Friday though so today I'm working on my work for my reading cert, and planning for this next mark period. It's going to be an exciting day
Tonight we're going to the gym, and grocery shopping (yeah we're officially old people) I'm also excited for double coupon day so I have to check my list to see what I need to wait on for that day.
Good morning, ladies.
{{hugs}}, Reba. I'm sorry.
I worked Saturday, but Saturday night and yesterday were enjoyable. We got a little more than a cord of firewood (on top of the cord we already have) yesterday, and had fun with DH's BFF going with us to pick it up. He's such a fun person - I really love him, and we haven't seen much of him lately. It was nice to have some time together. Unfortunately, last night was not a good sleeping night in the hacienda, so DH and I are both dragging this morning. And, I think my giveadamn is officially broken at work. I'm really hoping for a severance deal at this point. It's going to be a long week, and I just don't want to do this anymore. 8-(
Reba, I'm sorry. *hugs*
Eva, vibes for your H!
Morning, all. I just got back from the car dealership--I spent three hours in a Starbucks while the car was worked on, but now that's taken care of for the next six months. I might take a nap now.
Weekend was very relaxing--got a bunch of stuff done, went shopping, went out to dinner. Nothing much going on today; I need to go for a run, work on some writing, but that's it. Then it's back to work again tomorrow.
Hope everyone has a great day.
reba, I'm so sorry that you didn't get that free cycle
I was really rooting for you.
eeeeva, good luck... keep us posted!
We had a pretty busy weekend. My ILs visited on Saturday. I could write a novel about the stupid things they say but it'll probably get me all pissed off again... suffice it to say, I'm terribly annoyed at them.
Last night, we went to my parents' house for Chinese New Year dinner. Mmm... I wish I had brought home some leftovers, lol.
Today I need to find a chance to visit my next door neighbour to wish them happy new year and drop off a little gift for their 3 little boys, and then maybe go to the post office.

This weekend was busy. We were at a conference out of town. We left Friday morning and didn't get home till 12:30 this morning. It was a great conference though, DH and I finally got a clear idea of where we are going and what we are doing. DH was offered the job as Area Director and will be starting at the beginning of May. I am thrilled!
I am hoping today is an easy day, I look forward to catching up on my sleep when I get home from work.
My friend in Chi posted on FB that they pulled a dead homeless guy off her train this morning.
Don't know which line, though.
Starting the day with transportation issues is the worst though...especially a Monday.
That's awful. In typical Chicago fashion, I haven't been able to find any news stating the reason as to the delay.
reba-Darn it I want to cry for you!
Reba - *hugs* I'm so sorry.
Eva - good vibes for DH! Oh, and lets see these boots!
Saturday was not to eventful - I used nervous energy and scrubbed most of the kitchen. I had to go to my company dinner that evening and it was a bit awkward since I only have 2 weeks left and I had to go alone since DH was on a plane home
Thankfully after being stuck OOT due to the snow, DH was home by the time I got home and we went and grabbed a drink.
Sunday he was super sweet and we had kind of a silly date at the farmers market in pouring down rain. It was a lot of fun. He then insisted he cook me dinner, which was amazing.
We're having some stomach issues at the snoopy casa. Not really sure what's going on. I think my old issues are back, and DH just doesnt' know how to turn down a meal out with the boys at work. He pays for that decision daily.
Tonight I'm hoping to get in a workout if DH will cooperate with me, after Jackson goes to bed. Then i'd like to just eat something quick and hit the pillows. This insomnia nonsense is wearing me so thin. Apparently my body only wants to sleep between 7am and noon. Go figure. Night time is lost on me.
Happy Monday ladies.
Yay, Monday.
It's been pretty warm outside today but now the wind has really picked up and I hate it when it's this windy.
Work was just 'meh' today. At least I didn't have to put in any overtime and got my breaks.
This weekend was alright. I got in a nice run on Saturday and got to the gym Sunday as well. Saturday night I got to hang out a friend and that was fun. Yesterday was low key and we just had dinner at the ILs.
One of my aunts dropped by yesterday with an early shower gift from her and 2 of my cousins. They went in together and bought our glider and ottoman. I'm completely blown away by their generosity. I seriously just put it on the registry so I would know which one I wanted to buy after the shower. I never thought anyone would buy it.
