Hi Everyone! It's Monday!! I don't know why, but this weekend went especially fast. I really don't want to be at work today. Oh well....
How was your weekend and what's on tap for this week?
Our weekend was good...I did a TON of laundry yesterday, Saturday was our first "book club" meeting with my girlfriends at my house, and then we went out to dinner and met up with more friends, I did lots of cooking and even made homemade marshmallows!!! It's one of my "12 recipes to try in 2012" resolutions. YUM!
This week is going to be busy...I have a college basketball game on Wed at Madison Square Garden (it's free because it's a guidance counselor event hosted by my alma mater, St. John's - woohoo) and I'm working late on Thursday. Other than that, a normal week.
Have a great day everyone!!
Re: Good morning!
Morning!
What a weekend!
Saturday - we drove back from NYC in a snowstorm... typically 3.5 - 4 hour trip took FIVE and a HALF hours... pfffttttt. i wished Sami would have slept for more of it cuz man he sucks when i'm driving. Anyhow, most of CT was unplowed and people utterly suck at driving in the snow (says the girl w/ a 4 wheel drive Jeep lol). This - in conjunction with the spreading crack in my windshield (started as a lil vertical 6 incher in front of me - and by the end of the trip had turned 90 degrees and went all the way to the passenger side - about three feet in total! getting replaced tomorrow!) AND the fact that Sami said - feel free to reach around and snap your wiper on the windshield to break up the ice as the wipers kept freezing. ok. so i do this like half a dozen times. about an hour + from home (Mystic CT) i do it again and whoosh - there goes the wiper - $20 Bosch Icon blade < 2 months old - gone. booo. lol it was quiet in the car for about 2 full minutes. so we pull off and obv the gas station has no wipers to fit. LOL ironically enough, with the wipers off and the heat blasting the windshield stayed mostly clear. So NOTE - if driving in a snow storm - turn off your wipers and just crank the heat! Yes the windows were about 1/2 way down in the back but I could seeee! After that we got home and had to clean the driveway, play w/ the doggie, and unpack. needless to say, we ordered food and caught up on the DVR.
BUT all the was worth it thanks to Sami's boss who gave us CLUB SEAT tickets to yesterday's PATRIOTS GAME!!!!!!!! HOLY BANANAS! What an f'ing game! We were at the 50 yard line in the middle section - didn't sit down the whole time - and - had sushi and steak for food! hahaha - yeah club seats are ridiculous! i have no voice today and couldn't sleep last night as i kept seeing replays and reliving the game. It was sick, def the best game and Sami kept saying how happy he was and how much fun he was having with me lol. He even spoke to the LO telling him/her that they had better be g'damn cheering in there. The EIGHT Jack and Ginger's were prob having a SLIGHT effect at this point. I have never screamed so much and the energy in that stadium was off the charts. I feel bad for that kicker, but really, it is a team effort, and as much as Brady sucked - the defense picked it up and came up big yesterday. Plus, luck doesn't hurt! I totally crashed my knee while jumping up and down as well as I think I peed my pants a bit when Ray Finkle, I mean Billy Cundiff missed... SUPERBOWL. I am so excited. really - football is my fav sport to watch and the Pats are the best. i know there are lots of haters, lol, but really - don't care and love my boys no matter what! i wish superbowl tickets were 3k cuz we would totally be there. LOL if ANYONE hears of anyone selling some I WILL TAKE THEM. I am willing to take a fair shake of cash out of my savings for this. lol Baby has been to three games so far - each of them wins - and each better than the last - so if the trend continues... haha oh and Gronk has def been added to the list of boy names... Gronk J Haddad hahaha
Hope everyone has a great week and I'm hoping this football high lasts for a few more days!!

My Photography Blog!
My weekend was pretty uneventful! Friday night DH and I cleaned up our bedroom and hung some pictures upstairs. Saturday I went to the gym and weighed in at LA (I'm down 12 lbs since 1/2/12!!). Oscar went to the groomer, so once I picked him up, we stopped over at my parents. Sunday I ran into the mall to use a store credit I had for some new Vera Bradley, went to HomeGoods to find a new comforter and went grocery shopping.
This week I don't actually have much planned. I'm hoping to get to the gym a few more times and do some freezer cooking and pre portion out some of my snacks to make the mornings easier when I'm packing my lunch.

@Laurie: That totally blows! Hopefully the heat gets fixed ASAP!
@Holly: How awesome that you were at the game! Good luck finding SB tickets!
@Lindsey: WTG with the weight loss! It's a huge accomplishment!
My weekend was good. Feel very accomplished in that our rooms downstairs actually look like rooms and not storage space! I also got some sewing done for the baby's room. I'm hoping this week flies bye because I get to see my parents this weekend!

@Holly - that sounds like so much fun! Back when I was still a big Eagles fan I managed to score tickets to my company's sky box for the NFC Championship game when they made it to the Superbowl - 2004 I think? I swear it was one of the top 3 best days of my life. Your post reminded me of that!
@Lindsay - you go girl!
My weekend was okay. Friday night DH was in a foul mood for no particular reason. We were thinking about going out for dinner, but he wasn't up for it so instead I cooked and we watched Moneyball.
Because of the snow on Saturday we thought it would be a good day to clean out our closets and drawers to make room for the baby stuff, since he won't have his own room until we move (hopefully this summer). I've been doing this off and on for a few months now to clear space for my maternity clothes, but DH hasn't cleaned out his stuff in almost 3 years!!! We both made great headway and now have 2 large empty drawers and a section of one closet ready to be filled with baby clothes
Plus a huge pile of clothes to give away to Goodwill.
Yesterday we went out for brunch, went grocery shopping and watched football.
Holly, it was so great to read your post... LOVE the energy and of course your love of the Pats! Man that game was nuts, I can't imagine being able to be there in person - lucky! Especially since you got to celebrate with thousands and thousands of Pats fans; instead I have Milo (who wore his Patriots sweats until he pooped all over them in the middle of 2nd quarter -- good luck, lol), and am surrounded by Giants fans (including my boss and closest coworkers)... this is going to be a tough two weeks. I could hear the guy downstairs exclaiming all through the Giants-49ers game... but whatever station he was watching was a little ahead of my tv, so I knew before the big plays how they would go... annoying! And then after the Giants won, one of my cousins sends me a picture message of her giving the finger with like a million "GO GIANTS GO GIANTS" texted after it. Nice. Like I said, long two weeks ahead... I wish I could go back home to MA for a vacation right now...
(sorry for that rant, and congrats to the Giants fans out there, you played well against the 49ers. I just don't want you to play well against us. It's time for payback!)
So other than football, on Saturday, I was home with Milo and I/we watched the ABC family channel all day. He doesn't really pay attention to tv, and he napped a bunch, so I got to watch the end of Princess Diaries II, and then Coyote Ugly, Practical Magic and The Notebook.
Then on Sunday morning, Paul and I went looking at houses again with our realtor. We saw three places (last week we'd seen four). Nothing said "Buy me!" but we liked aspects of two of them pretty well. Sunday afternoon and evening was spent watching the NFL. Good times!

My weekend was pretty quiet.
Friday night I slipped twice on the stupid ice. I am fine, just smashed my finger, but ticked off that I fell twice in less than 2 hours. I also went to my BFFs "girly" party and hung out there for a while.
Saturday morning, I slept in while DH went to work. Then I ran a few errands in the morning. In the afternoon, I did laundry, watched Coyote Ugly and played some Wii. We ended up going to get sandwiches for dinner and just chilled the rest of the night.
Sunday morning we went out for brunch. Then we came home, played some more Wii and chilled. DH had to go into work for a few hours and I made dinner. That was about the extent of our being productive.
A10 Siggy Challenge: Our Next Vacation Destination: Paris!
God this weekend FLEW by! We went to St. Augustine on Friday for a conference and had an amazing time. If you ever have the chance to go there you should - such a pretty and historic fun little town! We also drove our new car there so the drive which could have sucked was kinda fun.
Got home around 2 yesterday and bottled DH's homebrew for our Mardi Gras party and watched the GIANTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was so exhausted from the trip that staying up through overtime was pretty miserable, but so worth it.
@ Holly I am so jealous, that was an AMAZING game to be at!
We didn't do much this weekend, I had some homework to do. We did run some errands and I wore my Pats jersey all weekend which is quite fun when living near Baltimore haha. I had some fun with my coworkers this morning!
Yesterday I finished up my homework and then watched the game! I don't think I sat down the entire 4th quarter I was pacing, jumping, yelling etc. DH went into the kitchen to make dinner with 5 minutes to go, so when Cundiff missed the field goal I jsut started screaming "OMG He missed it! WE WON!" over and over again. It was awesome! I had been saving up for a new jersey, and told DH that if they made the Superbowl I was going to buy it...this is now in the mail on its way to me
DH & I at the Light Festival
Friday night DH and I just chilled and watched TV. I still wasn't feeling the best, but knew I had to eat...so Jeff made me Eggos. : )
Saturday I actually did do some laundry (almost half of it), cleaned the kitchen and watched TV. That night we went out to dinner at a new Italian place about an hour away (SO GOOD), and then Jeff and I actually went to our local little tavern. It was karaoke night, so a lot of friends were there.
Sunday I got sick again...grrrr...but I wasn't surprised as I definitely ate too much in one sitting the night before. Then a friend came over to watch the game. I could not be more disappointed in the off season this year...no, I take that back....if the Patriots win...I will be more disappointed. Ugh! I told Jeff the one year I would just rather get drunk than watch a second of the Super Bowl I can't drink at all. We had already told friends we would be joining them out for a Super Bowl party, so I guess I will just sit there and pout and watch it (haha!).
I have to go get groceries tonight, Wednesday I have a meeting and hopefully this weekend we go see my sister in Omaha. If not, I am going to do absolutely nothing again and love every second of it!
LOVE IT!!!!!! GO PATRIOTS!!!!

Weekends always go by fast!!!
We chilled most of the time but had nephew's 16th birthday party on Saturday at BIL's house. Good time was had (by those who showed up - all 4 SILs did not come, nor did their kids; only us and other BIL with his family). Niece came home with us & spent the night then breakfast on Sunday.
Did some good damage at Bed Bath & Beyond on Sunday as well. GAWD I love that place. And of course, I am now neutral on super bowl. May the best team win.
