NSOR: I need to AW!!
I just had my 2011 performance review and I got amazing feedback! We have an A-B-C-D rating system with an "A" being nearly impossible to achieve and a "D" meaning pack your bags and get the eff out. Well, I met with my boss and while my rating was a "B", she said that both her and her boss applied for me to be granted an "A" rating!!!! The VP of our department had to decline it, due to budgeting reasons since raises and bonuses are based on ratings. We're on a tight budget at my company (didn't get bonuses last year) and the less A's they give out, the better they can meet their bonus.
While I'm bummed I'm wont receive the financial compensation of an "A" rating, I'm elated that my boss AND her boss thought I was worthy of one!! My boss was out on medical & maternity leave for the last half of 2011 and I was doing my job and her job...while going through a divorce, being a single parent and taking a full load of college classes. And while keeping my sanity in tact! I'm so glad my hard work didn't go unnoticed!
