Just wanted to drop in because I actually have 3 seconds and say hello! I'm trying to keep up with everyone but I'm really bad at posting. Our internet has only been working in the kitchen and I just don't have time to go hang out in the kitchen and be on the internet.
I want you all to know I'm thinking of you! Nothing new to report here really, still waiting on the "official" letter for H and not totally sure what that's going to mean for my work/our living situation. Should be interesting though so stay tuned!
Also, I'm considering getting an iPhone, thoughts? I can't find anyone that says "no get a newer droid" so far which is starting to bug me, I wan to have some pros and cons to weigh! The main con is the price. Ouch. Is it any easier to post on the nest from an iPhone? That would definitely help my decision...
Re: Hi!
I'll be honest I've tried everything everyone has recommended to post and still can't from my phone but I'm sure that has something to do with me haha
My aunt has a droid and really does love it with all of the apps she has.
The phone wasn't too bad for me since I got a credit and have been with Verizon for so long but I recently dropped my plan because I couldn't justify spending 117 with taxes every month especially trying to be a SAHM. So now it's like 75 but that's because I got locked in and the prices for data are more now and not unlimited like mine are (however you'll never exceed it)...not sure who you're carrier is.
I know that Pinterest does not have an app for a droid I think it is because someone I follow on Twitter was complaining about that but maybe she doesn't know there is one? Not sure.
The picture quality is amazing though with flas and zoom and it's just in general a great phone.
There isn't and it pisses me off daily. How can they have one for the Iphone and not one for the Droid. Even after Karebear emailed them with our list of demands and they told her they were working on it!!
I had an iphone, and I didn't like it at all. I didn't like the sensitivity of the screen, or the speed it moved at. The screen broke pretty quickly, and none of the insurance plans seem to cover the screen. It was seriously a drop onto a wood floor from maybe 3 feet, and my screen was shattered.
I currently have the Motoroloa Photon, and I love it. The screen is responsive, there is no auto correct that turns hell into he'll and other hilarious changes, the camera is 8 mega pixels and is better than my digital SLR, it has a video camera that works really well... I could go on. I also just prefer this operating system.
For me, the Droid is a better fit. I honestly don't think that you'll really know which phone you prefer unless you have time to play with them both. J also had an iphone, and now has the HTC EVO, and is much happier.
Hiieee!!!!
Iphone is awesome. With ios 5 (newest software), you don't have to do anything to post. I am on my iPad now and don't have to flick anything off to post. I promise you won't regret it. It's $200 with a 2-yr agreement usually.
I am very happy with my iPhone. I got the 3GS in sept 2010 and am still happy. I paid $100 w/ a renewed 2yr contract and about six months later they lowered the price to $50. Boo! Anyway, J got a droid not long ago and he loves it. I do love his screen a lot more than my iPhone's but then his model is like 2 years newer than mine. I've played w/ his and I just prefer my iPhone. When my renewal comes up I'll be upgrading to a newer iPhone. I think J will stick w/ his droid. I've had a blackberry before also which I loved and J currently also has a newer model blackberry for work (which I have played with and don't like, except for the keyboard - I miss having a real keyboard).
Re: websites. I have no problem posting to the nest w/ the new iOS 5. It DOES suck tho that u can't view any websites w/ flash tho. That's just annoying. So there's a big pro for a droid.
Re: breakage. I have dropped my phone a million times. Gabby also plays w/ my phone daily and drops it often. On cement, hardwood, tile, etc etc etc. it's still alive and kicking w/ the original screen. I have an ifrogz case which is slim fitting w/o being bulky and has protected it well. Enough so that the first case broke after one too many drops and I bought a new one.
