Superstitious of Friday the 13th?
Well there will be three of them this year. For the first time since 1984, those three Friday the 13ths ? Jan. 13, April 13 and July 13 ? are exactly 13 weeks apart. It won't occur again until 2040.
I'm not really superstitious but it does always cross my mind it's a "superstitious day" every time its Fri the 13th. My mom seems to think anyone who gets married on a 13th is just crazy because it means it will fall on a Fri the 13th some time. I think she's a little wacky for thinking that! I wouldn't hesitate to have gotten married on that date.

I'm not really superstitious either, but that's interesting about the dates! I always wonder who takes the time to figure these things out, haha.
I've never thought about not using the 13th for special events. It wouldn't bother me, although I tend to like even numbers for no particular reason.

I don't know what's worse, the fact that it was our first date or the fact we got married 6.6.09 just so we could keep it easy.

Your post reminds me about when I worked at a restaurant. The register would often come up to a total of $6.66 and some people would freak out. lol. Some customers would even add another item just for the sake of not having that total. I thought it was pointless but funny.
I agree. I just set up a new account at work, and their account number comes out to 100666. She flipped her lid and demanded another number.
Since I've never had anything bad happen on that day, I hope some day Fri/13th is an especially lucky day for me!
Back to pager days... one of my friends moms pointed out 666 spells mom on a phone keypad so she would page her daughter those 3 numbers and would say- you know that means the devil in me is pissed so get your arse home. I always thought that was pretty funny.

I am not a calendar wiz, but I had posted that fact earlier this month about why 2012 is special so that stuck in my brain.
But this year they're 13 weeks apart? Maybe that's what the statistic was referring to.
I was married on 11-11-11 but if we decided on the 13th, I wouldn't think "Oh no! It will eventually be a Friday!". However, I do recognize Friday the 13th and if anything goes wrong, I just blame that, haha

I don't know if I'm superstitious or slightly OCD, but I just don't like the number 13. It skeeves me out.
My friend Jason got married on Friday the 13th. He's kind of a ham like that.
