Has anyone made plans yet? Reservations anywhere great?
Re: Valentine's Day
We aren't big on celebrating Valentine's Day and usually let it go by without much acknowledgement.
This year we are going to get a babysitter go out with a couple we are friends with, either to Davio's in Foxboro or The Stoneforge in Easton. DH is going to try for a reservation today and if he can't get one then I guess those friends will be our first dinner guests at the new house!
I haven't really thought about it.
DH mentioned this little hole-in-the-wall restaurant he went with coworkers before Christmas and he really liked it. Maybe we'll go there. I try to stay away from chain restaurants because they usually have a limited menu and higher prices.
I'm not sure if we'll go on V-Day or the weekend before.
DH and I went to Luciano's the first year we were dating and I think they had 3 menu options. It always seems to come up that people love Luciano's and the food is so good and blah blah blah. I only remember it being mediocre. But I think I went on the worst day haha
We usually combine special occasions that week. There's v-day, my H's birthday is the 17th & our anniversary is the 20th. I think we're going to spend President's day weekend in NYC.
I'm taking a vacation day. DS and I are going to something called Kindermusic class (it's a free trial class) and then we are going to a special mommy and me day at the aquarium. They do stuff during the day with mommy and baby animals, I guess the sea turtles and a few other things. He's a little young for the program, but he does LOVE the animals, especially the big sea turtle they rehabbed, so I'm going to take him.
The nanny has a concert/gala the night before and asked for the day off as I am sure she plans to not be feeling so hot, lol.
We'll go out to dinner, but not on valentine's day. I have a groupon for Sandrine's in Harvard Square, so we'll probably go there.
We usually buy each other gifts, but this year we decided that dinner is enough of a gift. (This is mostly because I feel like I hemorrhage money on him thanks to Christmas, valentine's day, and his birthday in early March, heh.) Though he'll likely still buy me the heart-shaped box of Reese's, since it's a tradition.
