more knife stuff: frustration and now guilt!

I contacted my bank and they basically said that I will need to return it at my own expense. I am seriously just MAD! So, I'm in need of something comforting. I find a pack of those hostess "chocolate" donettes. You know, those tiny doughnuts that have the waxy chocolate type substance surrounding them. I crammed it in my mouth like I was trying to win a contest. I'm so frustrated and irritated and UGH, now I feel guilty for eating that thing.

TTC #2 for a million years: SA normal, CD 23 bloodwork shows nothing amiss, ovulation detected. Next step: ? maybe CD3 bloodwork to check eggs? All out of pocket, so limited IF tests/treatments.

    ditto this, I'm sorry :(

  • I think I missed this, why do you need to send it back? This seems totally ridiculous.

No, it's a fighting knife that came in a box probably 18x4x4.

I think it's because she technically never paid for it because she disputed the charge with her bank.

The other option is, could you pay for it and gift it to anyone?

Well, I ordered this dumb knife for James for Christmas 12/1. It was supposed to be received in 3-8 days. After 2 weeks, I emailed customer service to try to get some information. No response. I called, straight to voicemail saying email was the best way to contact them. I left a message and sent another email. No response. I tried to contact them a couple more times and looked them up on BBB (very bad!), and then disputed with my bank. The bank gave me a credit. I bought the knife elsewhere.

I received the knife on Saturday, 7 weeks after I ordered it. I emailed the company and they said that they are going to forward my email to my bank as confirmation that I have received the item and to charge my account again. Now my bank is saying that I need to send it back, but the company won't pay for it. l am fine with sending it back, really, but I don't think I should have to pay.

Plus, the company has this dumb return policy saying that I have to get an authorization number from them to put on the outside of my package and send it with delivery confirmation and with a "handwritten" note saying why I'm returning it. I emailed them asking for an authorization number for the return, and I'm guessing I won't receive it.

What I am guessing is going to happen is that they are going to charge my account again, and then since they won't get back to me with an authorization number to send it back following their policy, I will have to dispute the charge again. It wasn't super expensive, but it was like $70 and they charged me $12.95 for shipping and handling.

This company is a joke, and I am beyond frustrated.

I know, that cake post is just terrible!  ;)

  • Where's the company located? Can you get the BBB involved to help mitigate the dispute? I agree, at this point, the company needs to send you a return shipping label (at their expense).

this is kind of awesome.  I'm also kind of afraid they would be jerks and not pay it, therefore sending it back to you, but it might be worth a try!

Hmmm... but then at least BA could say she attempted to return it?

  • I would totally try that, but they have this big giant return policy that says that I need an authorization number from them.  I'm afraid that I would send it back and they would accept it but say that I am not entitled to my refund because I didn't follow their policy.  It really looks like this company is full of crooks and is looking for any way to rip people off.  The reviews are SO HORRIBLE.  BBB gave them an F.  That's what I get for not doing any research.
