This is how I interpreted both statements too.
Apparently my poll is not very interesting
I basically agree with mesa (and the rest of you). I was pissed a few weeks ago because a bureaucrat at work said "Forgive me" for something she was in the wrong about and to me it came across as a complete cop out from actually apologizing.
