Eek

My cousin's wife's water just broke. They are team green. I hope its a boy, so my little boy can play with him. Lol. No, I don't care. I just want to meet this peanut. Mom is so tiny, I'm curious to know how big baby will be.

Re: Eek

  • How tiny is the mom? My best friend is pregnant is she is also really tiny, she's just about 5 feet tall and weighs 90 pounds, before pregnancy. I never even thought about what size her baby will be but now I'm wondering! Mostly I've been thinking of how funny (in a good way) she will look with such a big belly!
  • She's really tall & skinny. She has one of those perfect baby bumps. I think she gained a whole 10lbs all pregnancy. Jealous.

  • Lol, 10 pounds.
  • It's a girl! Can't wait to meet her in person!

Stuff like this makes me cringe.  I know the kids will still play together if they have a girl, but it puts a bee in my bonnet to see that people still put value in gender.

I think today is going to be unpopular opinion day for me.  :

Ok, you're right. I worded that incorrectly. How you interpreted it is not what I meant.
My cousin that had the baby is a twin. His sister & I were very close growing up. We played together. I was always cousinly-like to my male cousin, but we didn't really become close until college.
I spent an equal amount of time with the both of them, but always 'played' with my female cousin.
I'm just hoping for the same type of closeness since our babies will be so close in age.
