  I do.  There are a few others that take that long too (I think Architect office?).  It is annoying though.

  Some of the ones that take so long don't make sense to me.  The Private Eye, the Pancake House, and Martial Arts.  WTF are they doing?

  Yes, pancakes should not take that long to prepare. The karaoke bar takes forever as well. 

  I kind of like the ones that take forever though, because they stay in stock for a long time, and you get tons of coins if the big spender comes and buys it all.

  The bowling alley is sort of like this--two things that stock (and run out) quickly, and then the tournament which takes FOREVER, almost forcing you to "hurry" the process.

  For some reason, I feel extra sorry for the people who want to work in the haunted house.  Like, recording studio and bank are legit aspirations, I think.  Aspiring for the career of a drunk teenager is just sad.

  First, go look at them and see if you have the stores that stock the items you have to get. You don't want to start a challenge with no hope of completing. If you do, choose the challenge and then when you stock the item it needs, it will pull them for the challenge automatically.

  The challenges are a bit different in the Droid version.  I don't have to start a challenge -- it just gives them to me automatically if I fully stock the two stores you need to complete it.  So that's easier.
