Accountability Tuesday

Not sure if the thread below was meant to be an accountability thread but figured I'd start one just in case. How'd we do ladies?

I'm right on track maintaining this week. I didn't get in a ton of activity this past week. DH and I "played" basketball on Sunday and my arms are still really sore. I'm going to bootcamp with my neighbor tonight and hope to get some more activity in the rest of the week.

Re: Accountability Tuesday

  • I'm not weighing myself until the weekend, but I am back in the swing of things. I ran last night for the first time in a couple of weeks, and it was painful.. but good to know the next time will suck a bit less. I finally have cycling shoes that fit and DH installed the clips last night, so I'm going to do everything within my power to make it home in time to get to spin class. I need to be sure I am there at least a few mins early so I can figure out how to clip in. hehe. But I'm excited.

  • I've been so bad with my workouts, but I have been sick for two weeks. My portion control is going well.
  • I sucked this past weekend and ate way too much and didn't track anything. I'm back on track as of Sunday and my preview weigh in (what I call my Tuesday morning WI in preparation for actual WI on Thursday) shows that I should be able to lose 1 lb this week. I'll take it.

I've been doing pretty well with either 30 Day Shred or walking in the afternoons. My new sports bra should be here today so that will help increase my cardio. My other bras weren't keeping the girls I place at all.

  • I'm down a total of 9 pounds.  I've stepped up my work out but not enough.  I guess slow and steady is better than losing a ton and falling off the wagon.
  • I was really good the last week and a half or so until Monday. We're having some stuff done at the house and there are contractors there all the time. All of our furniture is in the dining room with everything covered in plastic and I don't really have access to the kitchen so we've been doing a lot more eating out than usual. I hope it will all be done by Friday so our lives can get back to normal!

  • I have nothing to report.
  • Doctor's appt tomorrow for actual number.  I've been swelling so that probably will contribute to some weight gain.  I'm trying to exercise portion control since I don't really have room for big meals in the tummy.  Most of the time I wind up with reflux and heartburn because I've eaten more than I can handle :(

ETA: I gained 0.2 pounds in two weeks.  Of course, the doc's office rounded DOWN the last time ... two weeks ago I was 166.8, but they put me in at 166, and today I was 167 so it made it look like I gained a pound.

Yes, yes I am. I've never let not training stop me from having a horrible race experience before. Why start now?? haha. Actually I am on track to suck just slightly less than last year if I'm lucky. And that is my perpetual goal. lol.

    You doing it?

Haha. I'm sure you'll do great. I was only asking because you mentioning that made me think of it, not because I was suggesting that you'll be unprepared. It's not like you said you haven't run in a year. Wink

I'll be there. I'm signed up for the full. The bridge haunts my dreams. lol
