Re: CP: Streetlights

  • I'm curious about this because the neighborhood where we're moving doesn't have streetlights.  In fact, most of the houses that we looked at before we decided to build didn't have streetlights either.  I grew up in a neighborhood that had streetlights, but DH tells me that's pretty uncommon.  I'm curious to know what others have.

  • I didn't participate in your clicky poll because I don't live in neighborhood now but the neighborhood I grew up in had streetlights!
  • I answered for my parents home/the 2 houses I grew up in didn't have streetlights. And I actually don't recall many of my friends' neighborhoods having them either..

  • The neighborhood we moved into is a new neighborhood and they have installed street lights.  I don't know if that helps at all Smile

  • We do not have streetlights but every single house has coach lights on the garage that are solar powered.  So even though there arne't street lights, the sub is still really lit at night because every house is lit.

  • We don't, but everyone leaves their front porch lights on.  I think it's because the neighborhood is still new and everyone is friendly and want the street to be well lit.  It isn't a problem for us.

AND I think builders are too cheap to put them in anymore.

  • We have them.  I'm trying to imagine it without them, and it's kind of creeping me out!

    Isn't that the truth.

Haha. I know! I grew up with them in my neighborhood as a kid, so I naively expected most neighborhoods to have them.  DH thought I was nuts when I told him this.

  • I answered based on my parents house since I live in a townhouse right now, but my parents house does not have them.  It was rather creepy at night.
  • I'm in a condo complex, so we have lights.

But the street I grew up on didn't have lights.
