Thank you. Not yet, I have to get fingerprints and pass a background check. I should have it within the next few weeks.
Congrats!
This post made me curious as to the requirements in WI:
- no class req'd
- no testing req'd
- min 8th grade education IS req'd
- submit application + $20 application fee
- pay $500 bond
- purchase stamp once application is approved
dang, CA much more restricting:
8 hr class req'd
test req'd-must get 60% to pass
$40 to the sec state
fingerprints
background check
E& O
bond must be $15K minimum.
Wow, I am surprised that it can vary so much by state and I am really suprised that WI is so relaxed

When I got notarized back in 2006 these were the requirements:
had to take an online test - which basically provided answers
had to pay $25 to recorder's office of the county I was registering in
bonded for $500
I think I might have had fingerprints done, but no background checks.
And then purchase stamp.
**My employer paid all the expenses.**
