we already have a sit n' stroll - but I don't want to haul that with for the short (2 1/2) hour flight we are doing next month, plus I may need it for our flight to the US in July - not sure if she will be too big for the sit n' stroll & just kick the seat in front of her! looking forward to checking it out when it arrives soon, just a shame that i had to pay so much more than it costs in the states, but with shipping its just not enough $$ difference for me to bother....
i guess the only question I have is - what do you bring with your CARES harness to help them sleep. Do you have one of those kids neck pillows? i just can't imagine her wanting to wear that at this age!
Re: @ I'm excited - ordered a CARES harness!
have you seen these head hugger ones?

they look SO cool - but of course she HATED it in the store!
yea i thought they looked awesome for plane travel - but the magnet thing around the neck FREAKED her out - oh well - we'll just use pillows/blankets I guess to be comfortable - the flight next month is only short anyhow, so no big deal, just thought the harness was a good thing to have for the next long haul!! thanks to all the advice you have posted on here about it!!
thanks - I hope so too! great to hear that he used it for so long
Genna JUST hit 10 kilos - so its the perfect time to start using it for her - this small trip will a good test for how we go with it
Don't worry. Knitty will be in here any minute now to tell us how stupid we are for using a CARES and how her way is SO much better. You know, the usual
lol
I think that I will have a travel pillow or two (small rectangular pillows, not the U shaped ones) for LO and a toddler blanket for our flight to Germany. I'm hoping that the combination of a red-eye flight and the fact that toddlers can, if tired, sleep anywhere. Besides, despite having the Go-go Baby wheels for his car seat, I refuse to use it on a long flight. It perfectly places his feet to kick the seat in front of him. No thank you! Besides, with the harness, he has a bit more room to move around (I plan to loosen the straps a bit when the fasten seat belt sign is off, even if that makes me a bad mom!).
I have mixed feelings about the CARES - but that's neither here nor there!
We didn't get a neck pillow, but brought a few animals, a blanket, and gave him all our pillows and blankets (transatlantic), to try and build a nest. But then that was in part because he refused to lay still - he doesn't sleep much in the car seat, and is a squirmy side/tummy sleeper, so sitting up to sleep was difficult for him. I would think a neck pillow owuld be good though!
What are your mixed feelings about it?
