I just had to break a wedding client contract as I am due within days of their wedding date. I feel awful! I am so excited, yet sad I am throwing a wrench in this couple's planning. We signed the contract a week before I found out I was pregnant, so we haven't established a really strong working relationship yet, but it still sucks. DH and I decided that because of the nature of booking weddings so far in advance, we just had to cross bridges when we get to them. Well, I crossed my first complicated bridge and I feel crummy. I'll feel better when I know they've found a replacement.

I know how you feel. I'm probably due the worst time for a teacher. Since this is the first year of the program that I am running, we're constantly thinking of ways to make next year better. A lot of what we do has to start right at the beginning of the year. I also have a lot of meetings lately, and it's so hard to just know that I'm not going to be there when the year starts.
Especially since I go back and forth between schools, I don't think the district is prepared to think about how they would deal with a long term sub in my position. I feel like it's going to be one of those situations where I really plan out exactly what the sub does almost every day, rather than letting them create their own plans.
I just feel really guilty, but I know that it's just something that happens, and in the grand scheme of things, this baby is the most important thing.
I know how you feel, don't worry!
